Sabina transferred to our team last year & has had an immediate impact on the service. She is passionate about her work, pours all her energy into doing the very best she can & motivates others to be innovative & make a difference to our resident’s lives. Nothing’s a problem for her & she comes up with brilliant new ideas to benefit everyone here.
I have had a really rough time with a personal reason. I was away from work & Lisa has helped me to sort some things out. She was there when i needed some help. She is a very caring person and always knows what to say to make you feel better. Her office door is always open not matter what she is doing. She is a credit to Hawkstone house .
Gina is a hard working and very passionate member of staff who is always coming up with new and exciting activities to do with service users. Gina really does her research when planning out an activity too and often does this in her own time. Gina always puts residents first above everything and ensures that they have everything that they need.
Georgia is an incredibly strong member of the team and is always positive and works hard. The other day Georgia was asked to help out with several residents in distress throughout the day, and wasted no time in agreeing. Georgia’s positive attitude makes residents feel at ease, which she maintains no matter what. Wonderful person to work with!
Rebecca has covered a lot of shifts over the past few months, covering sickness and swapping her own shifts to help out her colleagues. Over time, Rebecca has learned to put the needs of our residents ahead of her own, and has even rearranged her home life to meet those needs.
Leanne joined us in September 2022, and has demonstrated huge growth. She has taken on high workloads, managing to prioritise these, manage her own time, and meet tight deadlines. She has demonstrated growth in her ability to think critically, reflect and apply psychological knowledge to risk assessments. She is stronger and more confident.
Me and Nathan had to support a resident to hospital which was distressing for everyone involved. Nathan made sure to not only support the resident but also helped to support me by making sure that I was ok with everything that was happening and that we understood everything that was being advised so we could work effectively as a team.
Carla goes above and beyond in her role of Mental Health Support Worker and was noted to be still on the ward supporting a distressed young person who had escalated during the handover period. Carla was calm, communicated effectively with the YP comforting them through their distress. It was lovely to see this level of dedication and selflessness in her care giving ability.
Dianne goes above and beyond the expectations of her role. Her genuine interest in the patients she supports is highly evident. I have seen an increase in patient participation of activity when Dianne leads activities. Dianne clearly loves her role and her passion is very clear.
Joanne has arranged numerous events held within the units ranging from Im a celebrity, St Patrick’s day, Day at the races etc. These have been 100% attended by all our ladies who really got in to the day by dressing for the occasions. This is over and above her job role.
Alex has been supporting the team at a site where there is currently an OT vacancy. She uses her wealth of knowledge and skills to support both myself and the OTA to ensure that all service users receive a high standard of OT input despite the vacancy. Alex goes above & beyond consistently, demonstrating her helpful, hard working and caring nature.
I am a student nurse currently completing my placement on South Hampton Ward. Since this was my first time on the ward, I was apprehensive before starting my placement. Karla taught me so much and showed me kindness, patience and empathy throughout my training on the ward. Karla is an exceptional nurse.
