Sabina puts in 100% effort into all her work and is constantly ready to help everyone who approaches her with work and intervention ideas. Sabina goes above and beyond with her work all day, even coming into work early to get started on her tasks for the day. I don’t think Sabina’s hard work should go unrecognised. Well done Sab 🙂
Wilma has supported the team at Walkern Lodge and brought the CQC rating to a good standard. Wilma is always on the end of the line if ever needed without any complaints. I believe Wilma deserves all of the care recognition more than just support. The team at Walkern Lodge surely appreciates all the support that Wilma gives without any complaints.
I’m nominating Donna for this recognition as she has recently had some feedback from an Operational Director about how well she has communicated with a resident’s family member in the service where she works. Family commendations are very important in our work and this demonstrates the excellent communication skills of Donna.
Alister worked tireless to ensure that a 3 way room swap with our residents went as smoothly as possible. Alister (with the help of others) moved and dismantled furniture and then rebuilt everything within 5 hours to avoid causing distress to our residents and had their rooms ready for their return from an outing! A big thank you to Alister!
Rhys always displays a great positive attitude and no task is ever too much to ask. Rhys will go above and beyond when asked to complete tasks and is efficient in doing so. Rhys has recently supported our maintenance team in facilitating a 3 way room swap, moving furniture, packing etc, and ensured the residents fully were involved in the process.
I would like to nominate Natasha for her hard work. Last month she forego team away day and asked to stay and support mostly agency staff on the ward. Her dedication to the safety of the ward is undeniable.
This week she had a special mention from the CQC inspectors stating that she was very supportive to them whilst meeting the patients.
Alex simply is the back bone of Delfryn lodge. He has worked here for over 14 years. He is constantly working hard under the pressure and constraints of a fast-paced and sometimes unsettled ward. He juggles all this to make sure our service users are put first and above anything else and always with a smile on his face. He really does define team player.
Adedayo is very new to his role and was supporting a patient who was in general hospital very unwell. During the shift the patient’s parents visited. Later, I received an email from the patient’s mum which said:
“I would just like to give a big shout out to the last night’s carer. He is absolutely fabulous. What a lovely man and a credit to the company”
Julie was a night support worker who plucked up the courage to go for the role of a night team leader. Since doing this new role, she has grown in confidence and has successfully settled in despite the lack in her self-confidence. She should be very proud of herself. She is a true asset to Birches and her team.
Cecilly shows empathy to service users and staff alike, all the time. Recently a service users’ mother was in reception. She was overwhelmed with the care package she had received and could not thank me enough. It was Cecilly who put the packages together and made our carers feel appreciated. Although I got the thanks, Cecilly deserves the praise.
Kaylie has been with the Dene brook service for approximately 10-12 months. Throughout this time, it has been lovely to watch Kaylie grow confident in participating and managing complex behaviours but also become amazing at redirection techniques in order to lessen and prevent the need of physical interventions.
Cat is a dedicated member of the MDT on Forestwood. She has been going above and beyond for a long time covering a vacancy in her department but maintaining a presence on the service and providing input to all four wards. She is a team player, puts patients needs first and promotes accessible information across the service. Thank you Cat!
