Recently we have had a breakthrough in communication with a resident who usually refused staff support a lot. Caitlin and Charlotte have been vital for this. They have given him 1:1 support to help form positive relationships and then gave feedback to the whole team. The resident now engages so much better and the staff team feel more confident.

When I started, in January, the ward archiving was very out of date. Because Imogen hasn’t been able to work on the ward floor she has spent time getting the whole archiving room up-to-date. She has also helped me with other duties, without being asked, such as scanning and filing. This has all been so helpful whilst I have been learning my role.

Ibbs is always trying to get service users to engage in new actives and help them engage with there environments. Heather has recently had to pick up double her usual caseload, following another OT leaving. The new caseload on PICU, has required a responsive & quick turn around to assess functional need to advise the MDT on OT interventions required to support timely discharge. Heather has achieved this to a very high standard without complaint or hesitation.
Kayley is always there for peer support to myself.
we recently lost a long standing staff member and she arrived at our service to offer support and bought a lovely bunch of flowers with her.
This is something that is very strong in Kayley’s character, she is a massive source of support to myself as her peer.
