Sageer volunteered and stepped up to the challenge of cooking for 21 patients plus staff over 3 days when our chef was away sick. He provided delicious cooked meals and maintained positivity on the ward. He cares about everyone on the ward staff and patients being able to have a good day and amazing food.
Since our team leader has gone off on long term leave, Andrew has put a lot of hard work into leading the team on a daily basis. He has put so much effort into helping out the nursing staff with staffing and has really upped his game in terms of his senior support role. We would be stuck without him and really appreciate his efforts and hard work.
Helped Beckly house over Christmas period with organising all the shopping for Christmas and also started preparing Christmas meals and treats during the build up to Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Cath made sure all Christmas meal preps were done so the staff working on Christmas day had to spend less time in the kitchen as it would be a busy day.
Natalie is keen to develop and widen her skills. She has been able to step up and lead the team with confidence when team leader is off. She is always keen to attend courses and volunteers herself to extra courses to widen her skill set. She displays a passion to grow in her career and we excited to support her with this.
Jumoke started as a bank support worker. Due to Jumoke dedication to learn more about the job role, she was offered permanent position. Jumoke has shown that she is dedicated and committed in her job role going above and beyond by stepping up to run the shift in the absence of Team Leader ensuring all duties are completed to high standard.
Since Kelechi started with us at the Mews he has developed incredibly professionally, and you can always rely on him in a time of need. During a recent incident, Kelechi supported me fully in the management of this and assisted with supporting other residents following. Kelechi was a shining star that day, and I hope that he continues to develop.
Nazia is an amazing senior support worker here at Gledholt Mews. Nazia is extremely hard working and she has a big fun personality, it is hard to have a bad day when she is in the building. The residents love her being on shift even when she is screeching on the karaoke, and that’s saying something!
Karen has been on a Christmas baking spree! We have mince pies coming out our ears at Hawkstone House. She scaled support and engagement for 3 different service users getting them involved in the baking process in ways that were appropriate to their individual care needs. She is always thinking about how the residents can get involved & have fun!
Tomi was supporting a resident who was meant to be going on a day trip with other service users. Due to their train being cancelled the resident couldn’t attend. Tomi took the time to arrange an alternative trip for them and ensured they had an enjoyable fun filled day. Tomi mentioned he had been thinking of an alternative for a few days already.
I would like to nominate Dee for helping out with my job role while I have been off ill for some time. She has done a fantastic job at making sure everything is present and correct. Thank you so much for making my return to work less stressful 🙂
Samina is always flexible with patients and their families and puts them at the forefront of her care. Trains were cancelled due to weather and a patients’ family were stranded in an evening, so she offered to take them home to London – the patients mum wants to thank Samina for her kindness and going above and beyond for them.
Whenever I need some advice, am a little stressed or unsure about something he is always there to help and give me a rational for my thoughts. He explains things to me and helps me to plan things out without judgement. He will listen when I need to have a chat and get things of my chest. He will also help where needed on the floor.
