Ibbs has recently worked really hard on our new garden project without having to be asked, spending four hours away cleaning bush and tree debris to make an area for our chickens. His help is really appreciated.
We recently did a PBS Brief Preference Assessment with support workers which asked staff to think about the attributes that help support residents. Chiemena’s name came up frequently as someone who has great rapport with some very vulnerable people we support. He has taken time to gain trust which can be seen in how individuals engage with him.
Dawn has been a breath of fresh air at the Lodge; her communication is second-to-none, whether to challenge her colleagues restrictive practice or support a patient in crisis. Dawn always advocates for patient rights and will make sure their voices are heard through hers. Not only this, Dawn is kind-hearted and great fun to work with!
Norm goes above and beyond to support both the staff and service users at Clifton. Due to the warmer weather, the office has been getting very hot. Norm sourced us an air conditioning unit, and created a Perspex screen to cover the window preventing the hot air (and wasps!) coming through. Norm does everything quickly, and with a smile! Thank you!

She has been a great support over the past few shifts when the nurse was lone working, taking extra care and provided the nurse with lunches and snacks and supported with shift planning. they just wanted to recognise your support and hard work. You have great values and work ethic, someone the team and service users can always rely on
I’ve had some health issues and family difficulties over the past few months leaving me feeling a bit deflated. Last week I had my appraisal with Nicole and it really picked me up again. I’ve reapplied for my university place entered onto the carers course and feel a lot more positive again. What a difference it makes to have such support.
Gemma is the person that I would go to if I needed something explaining that I didn’t understand as she is great with her communication skills. Gemma has bundles of patience and has often had to sit with me by a laptop showing me how to deal with work related technology that has gone over my head. Gemma also works well with non verbal service users
Sam has shown his flexibility recently when a locum psychologist left one of our services at short notice. Sam volunteered to provide professional cover for the service and support the Assistant Psychologists, to ensure the psychological treatment continued at the site for all the patients. I think this very much demonstrated Sam’s flexibility.
Stacey has been a positive and fantastic help to all the staff, creating excel spreadsheets to make their work easier, showing staff how to access things on the drive and how to create files and share them. She also passed over her responsibility of Exams Officer to another member of staff with full support. All of this is extra to her normal role.
Troy recently had to deal with a very complex case as part of his role that would be challenging even for the most experienced HRBP. Troy handled the case by balancing the needs of both sides and whilst it was a difficult outcome for a colleague involved, Troy received an email of thanks from the colleague recognising Troys respectful approach.
