Momina has shown an incredible level of support for me on a personal level recently, as well as over the last two years we have known each other. She offers me reassurance when I second guess myself, ensures I take care of myself and is very considerate with any concerns I may have, whether about the service or personally. Thank you Momina 🙂
The Cygnet Vans are an essential tool to maximise our patients community experience an essential part of their recovery. As well as completing her busy support work allocations, Caitlin gave the van a total spring clean to make sure the patients can enjoy a clean healthy and hygienic experience in a van as well cared for as they are.
Eve has developed a personalised relaxation preference sheet for Residents at Broughton House who are attending the relaxation group. The aim of the sheet is to communicate to the staff team the residents relaxation preferences, therefore supporting the transference and practice of skills. This is a great and innovative piece of practice.
Whilst helping a complex patient with his self care today, she demonstrated tolerance, understanding and radiated compassion to gain his co-operation and make the experience as good as it could be. He appeared very happy with the outcome. She did a difficult job very well.
Becky has been integral to the planning and facilitating of summer fayre and prom at Bury CAMHS over the last few weeks and she definitely brings the fun! She pushes the boundaries and asks why not – helping us to provide an excellent service to the young people keeping our events exciting and engaging (and packed with inflatables). Thanks Becky!
Rhiannon has recently started a new role as Assistant Psychologist at Cygnet Maple House. As part of the induction process for the new service, Rhiannon has co-facilitated multiple training events. She has taken on this challenge exceptionally well;delivering training to a high standard, with enthusiasm, passion and dedication. Well done Rhiannon!
Sophie recently organised a day trip in York for a service user who uses a wheelchair. Sophie caught the bus to the train station and then got a train to York. Whilst in York she even took the service user on a river cruise. Sophie made sure that the service user had enough spending money for the day to spend on goodies.
Hannah does a fantastic job of adapting her communication to match the individual needs of each resident. She is always looking for ways to support understanding and increase access and she does this with great empathy and understanding.
Matt has been really supportive in helping me understand the new Google analytics system which helps me track colleague engagement and use of MyCygnet. This means I can better understand how our colleagues are accessing our internal communications so I can target content and provide more of the stories people want to see on our channels. Thanks!
At Kirkside we have a challenging service user who was in need of a bathroom repair which involved the service user been out on day trips all week. Caroline volunteered to support the individual for 3 of the days as she was the only medication trained staff that was on shift. This helped the day trips be successful and settled.
Gary decided to make home made Dutch apples for supper. He realized after buying the apples the unit had no apple decorator, Gary tirelessly worked to decorate 16 apples single handedly in high temperatures. This took him over an hour and was sweating continuously. He did this just so service users could have “the Dutch experience”. He is a true hero.
Paul goes above and beyond. I have had an issue with our intercom which took time to sort out. He kept on it until the issue was solved.
He is also a very hard worker, working between two sites Gledholt and Gledholt Mews.
