Lloyd has recently taken a resident from Cherry Tree abroad to Spain for a week. The build up from last year to the holiday has been incredible including late night and early morning trips to the airport. LLoyd has ensured that all was in place to make the residents first ever trip abroad and on a plane a success!
Natalie has recently supported a colleague during a difficult time in her life, she has supported them in and out of work, going above and beyond.
Natalie has shown real empathy and compassion, both professionally and personally. Natalie has taken the time to support her colleague to an important event and I think her kindness is commendable.
Chris has worked hard with a gentleman who recently transitioned to Norcott. This gentleman doesn’t have many communication tools available to him but Chris has really go to know him well and ensured a smooth transition. Even making sure he has everything additional he need in his environment and happily communicates his needs. Well done Chris.
Alex has been supporting a patient who has a lot of SLT needs to complete his SLT exercises outside of sessions. It is clear from the amount of work he has spent a long time doing this with him to aid his rehabilitation and recovery. Alex has gone above and beyond to support somebody with communication needs. Thank you so much.
Sophie, Taiwo and Ayo went above and beyond their role. They did by supporting a resident move into Gotts Park, none are maintenance operatives; however the team worked together to make sure the resident had a smooth transition by making her flat looking amazing and person centred, the resident was thanked the staff for their support.
Kola, Iffy, Ife, Idris, Nathan, Angel and Tayo planned a Nigerian Independence Day at Gotts Park during Black history month. This was celebrated by staff and residents at local services, they did a presentation on the history, culture, language on Nigeria. Food was served from Nigeria and there was music and dance, which was great fun.
Taiwo was supporting a resident who was showing anxiety behaviour. The resident attempted to jump from a top banister staircase, Taiwo intervened quickly and prevented this from happening and pulled the resident back to prevent him from being severely injured. Risk assessments have now been able to be put in place for this residents, thanks Taiwo
Joyce Parker is currently going through a restructure and many staff are at risk of redundancy. Magnus has been there supporting all his fellow support workers and attending Joyce Parker on his days off to support the staff who are going through redundancy consultations.
I feel that he needs the recognition he truly deserves.
Kolawole has grown as a support worker over his time at hHawkStone, he has a very good rapport with all the residents and is very passionate about his job, he is a good team player and will always encourage his colleagues. Kolawole has also helped new members of staff settle down in Hawkstone, He has team spirit and this stands out from other employees.
Georgie has been a massive support and help with completing the Risk assessments/obs forms for enhanced obs. This change was implemented quickly for the CTL’s/nursing team. Georgie took this on with no complaints and got on and done it, she has completed these to an extremely high standard like she does with all work, she is a asset to the company.
