Ayo, Ajibola, Akwasi, Douglas, David, Dan, Ukeme have been supporting a resident who regularly absconds from site. They have been collectively coming up with ideas to support him with this and coming up with new strategies, they have run in the dark to keep up with him, with a smile on their face. Recently one of our residents had a seizure , not some thing we experience often , Beth was amazing in responding to the alarm and dealing with the situation , remaining calm and positive, reassuring and guiding our resident as he was very disoriented and unsteady , well done Beth!
Scott came in to service on his day off to support an individual to hospital for the first time to be placed under general anaesthetic for dental treatment. Scott was very positive and remained calm and waited with the individual until they returned to service and ensured they was okay and offered the individuals parent a lot of re-assurance.
An individual had a seizure at hawkstone house and Anwer was quick to respond despite being in another building. He came over and assisted very calmly. After the seizure had run its course, he helped place the individual in recovery position whilst maintaining his dignity. Anwer was helpful in supporting the individual to the hospital. Well done!!!
Anna is a very supportive Clinical manager and supports the team and myself in delivering our roles positively. She is always thorough with her work which in turn helps the whole team especially when involving any reviews of the incidents on the unit. Her support makes our job less stressful. Her support when dealing with families is outstanding.
An individual had a seizure and the panic alarm was pulled. Foziya responded immediately. She ensured the defib bag was present and the ambulance was called. Foziya assisted in placing the individual in recovery position and also ensured all necessary documentation was available for the individuals hospital visit. Thankyou Foziya for your hard work
Serwah is a human machine with her rate of productivity. Serwah is never shy of hard work and takes her role in her stride. Serwah has the kindest heart and truly earns every penny. She is like a conveyor belt the way she gets her tasks done, juggling the role of senior nurse and supporting her team with every effort. Every ward needs a Serwah!

Kim as part of a response team from Sherwood House attended a neighbouring Cygnet service for a medical emergency.
I just want to express my massive thanks to all the support given yesterday. The team were a class act and worked so well as a team and just did an amazing job.
Alice came to Outwood as our new manager & I can’t praise this woman enough, she is absolutely brilliant, everything she does, she does it with pride, this is reflected by the things that she does for the residents, their families & staff, she’s very approachable & down to earth & just a lovely lass, & were all very thankful for you Alice!
Tich has been here for a very long time, and knows the residents so well, he is such a lovely man with so much knowledge to give to all, both old and new staff, he doesn’t get enough recognition for what he does in the service, he is amazing!
I just wanted to nominate Olukemi for this award because recently I received some bad news, she was so thoughtful and kind with her words of comfort, when we get the chance, we sit and talk to one another about life, mental health, the residents that we care for and what were grateful for. Im grateful for her friendship and empathy, she is amazing
