
Rachel organises all Kewstokes events mostly alone for over 200 staff & 70 service users. All done in her own time, she is one of those unsung heroes. From organising charity events, mental health awareness days to our Christmas do she is dedicated and passionate in her work. She recently organised & raised over £500 for children in need.
Nicole’s passion for renovating the outside area at Norcott is outstanding. She has tirelessly researched ideas and then has been hands on tidying, painting and building. Even doing extra work at home. Nicole has considered and included the residents throughout, making for a new improved outdoor space everyone can enjoy. Thank you Nicole.
Jade has worked exceptionally hard to support a new gentleman into the service, supporting him during his first couple of weeks and working with him to find constructive solutions to challenges. During one particular shift Jade went above and beyond, showing a huge amount of care and kindness and being a real support to the team. Thanks Jade!
Tina supports residents to try new things, sharing ideas with others. Recently seen to get a resident to have fun in a communal area of the house which is unusual for them. When reminded, the residents now smiles and asks to look at the picture. Tina has also been seen to advocate for residents feeding back positive interactions and giving ideas.
Gemma recently opened a female acute ward and has smashed it. She has come up with so many amazing ideas for service improvement that are now being rolled out around the hospital, She has had several compliments from staff and service users about the ward environment and the support she has given. Keep going gemma you’re doing amazing!
Ste has been an asset to the service in ensuring that the service users at Newham House have a safe environment to live in. Ste goes above and beyond in his role by completing an array of maintenance tasks. He has recently been key in fixing a piece of equipment that could have cost thousands and this has benefited the service users! Thank you!
Scott has been at Outwood for over 5 years ,He is amazing at really stepping in when we need extra support . He is great all round , He cooks Great meals , He is a driver and always willing to make sure that the residents get out and about . He is so hard working and so resilient. WE APPRECIATE YOU SCOTT !!!
Hannah has recently returned from maternity leave and slipped her heels off and stepped back into her work boots. she has been sorting out her affairs, leading the team and helping the team grow. she is very supportive to her colleagues and the activity coordinator. she works so hard that her boot will start to wear so a trip to the cobblers it is.
Shelagh stepped in to help out in our kitchen this weekend due to chef sickness. Two takeaway’s had been arranged for having over the weekend but Shelagh worked hard in the kitchen to make up a lovely chicken curry for all our residents which they thoroughly enjoyed and much preferred over a takeaway!
Lucy recently took a service user on their 1st ever holiday, they planned the holiday and did lots of activities while away for 4 days. The resident was pushed out his comfort zone and was extremely anxious while away, but Lucy eased his anxieties and gave lots of positive encouragement and reassurance. The resident came back and said “Thank you “
Sophie’s constant positivity is unwavering. Everywhere she goes, she is positive throughout. This has particularly stood out with her support of a resident we currently have in hospital, Sophie’s positivity enable her to encourage this lady to complete personal care after days of refusal in hospital and visit Norcott for a party. Well done Sophie.
Kola, Iffy, Ife, Idris, Nathan, Angel,David and Tayo planned a Nigerian Independence Day at Gotts Park during Black history month. This was celebrated by staff and residents at local services, they did a presentation on the history, culture, language on Nigeria. Food was served from Nigeria and there was music and dance, which was great fun.
