Ulyett is our cook at Long Eaton Day Services, she always gets involved and helps to organise internal events/celebrations on site including some fantastic art displays including our dignity tree. Most of our service users are on modified diets and the presentation of her food is always fantastic, making the food appealing and interesting.
Ian went above and beyond his role to plan, prepare and cook a menu of authentic Indian dishes as part of our monthly, themed food nights. He spent hours in the kitchen (even coming in on his day off) to cook some amazing handmade foods. It was great to see him share his passion for cooking with our service users, who loved trying some new foods.
Chloe, whilst off duty, recognised a developing situation in the public that was becoming increasingly urgent, regarding an incident with a service user. She was able to support the service user independently, and took great initiative to contact the hospital, and ensured everyone’s safety. Well done Chloe, we are lucky to have you on our team!
I would like to nominate Shelby she is a brilliant nurse here at Aspen Clinic, she shows support not just to the patients but to the support staff too. Recently we had a serious incident on the unit and Shelby dealt with it quickly and professionally. We are so lucky to her have her here.
Donna has gone above and beyond in helping the occupational therapy team set up a local community allotment project for the service users at Cygnet Lodge Brighouse. Mary has only been with us a couple of months, however is in the process of developing excellent relationships with residents.
Mary has supported in several instances of challenging behaviour with particular residents, and had her hair pulled on several occasions, however has always returned with a smile on her face and unfazed, which is great!
Nancy was involved in a serious incident with a resident very early on during her time at the service but has never let this deter her – she always has a smile on her face, gets involved wherever she can and it has been a joy to see the confidence she has built up with all residents in the service.
Amy has done an exceptional job with the housekeeping audit. She always ensures that high standards are maintained and never falls below expectations.
Amy has made massive improvements in the service and regularly receives positive feedback from QAMs and CQC.
Thanks you for your continued passion and commitment to our service 🙂
Leanne is recognised by colleagues and service users as someone who is supportive, always takes time for people, listens, and understands. She recently supported a service user through a very difficult bereavement, including providing additional sessions for support and developing a cope ahead plan to prepare for the funeral which really helped.
Sunita has supported some of her psychology team from her own service being re-deployed for a period of time to support another psychology team at a different service. This support has really helped the service to manage a lot of changes to their clinical work and she has also ensured her own service is covered appropriately.
Following a staff meeting, I wanted to check response time and I don’t normally have keys and a panic alarm as the admin. I pulled the alarm for an emergency in a room that would not normally show – the basement meeting room. Foz responded with x2 other staff within 20 seconds of the alarm being pulled. Well done Foz, excellent support!
Alice took the time to draw some of the staff members on Halloween, showcasing her artistic skills despite her managerial responsibilities. This thoughtful gesture not only added a personal touch to the celebration but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the team. Weldon, Alice for your hardwork
