Goodness has worked on a specialist ward with this patient and he has manged to get everyone to change the way they communicate with this particular patient. They communicated with more empathy and compassion and for the first time this patient has recorded nine days free of incidents since being admitted last Christmas. MDT are overwhelmed.
Paul is our chef, our maintenance operative at Willow House has been off-sick and Paul has been a great support to the service, it’s not enough to just select one character in this case as he has been flexible beyond his role as a chef and hard working. He has supported the service with mowing the garden, helping with minor repairs, he’s been great
We had all gone on a day trip to flamingo Land, The trip was planned very well and a lot of hard work had gone into it, Shacaine had made sure everyone was teamed up well, fitting their levels of support; she also ensured everyone had fun, she had made these lovely personalised lunch bags which put a smile on everyone’s face. Went the extra mile!
Since a recent passing in our team Emma has designed and implemented a co-production project with our service users to refurbish our horticultural garden into a memory garden. This is a place of peace and tranquillity were staff and service users can go to remember their loved ones.
Henk is always willing to take on additional work for the psychology teams in both in the North and South regions and he is always willing to do more than just his very busy position at Brunel. He recently had a article published in the Independent on anxiety and panic attacks, and this is an example of Henk’s extremely high work ethic.
For the past few months Chariya has been our only chef she has gone above and beyond working extra to make sure the residents and staff have meals. She makes different meals if residents don’t want what is on the menu that day and tries to accommodate everyone. Chariya does all of this with a smile on her face and is appreciated by all of Gledholt
It has been a tough few weeks at Clifton but Keba has continued to provide excellent care and support to the patients, and has provided great leadership to his team. He has taken extra shifts when needed, and continued to push through despite hard times and challenging experiences on shifts. He is a valued and experienced staff member!!
Caitlin’s ‘job title’ is support worker; however she goes above and beyond- She often helps out in the kitchen where needed to cover absence last minute (voluntarily) in order to ensure that staff and patients get their meals and that her senior team do not need to worry about trying to find cover. It is very much appreciated!!
Our wonderful maintenance team, security lead and the fitness instructors all took time out of their exceptionally busy schedules to put up a huge marquee for the school prom. We couldn’t have hosted the event without their hard work. Thanks guys!
Kemi was my designated Buddy at Work during my induction training. I can’t praise her enough for being kind, able to adjust all her knowledge to an appropriate pace to not make me feel “overflowed” with information. Always available to clarify every doubt, and making sure I was fulfilling the induction booklet. Just an Amazing professional!!
