Catherine is a highly motivated reliable support worker who over her time here at Outwood has supported not only our residents but the whole team in every aspect. Catherine is always willing to step up and help with tasks outside her job role. Catherine takes a lot of time out of her day to help new starters with their job role.
Lauren along with a colleague received positive praise via a member of the public whilst supporting a service user 2:1. The public member contact us and advised that they were elated to see Lauren and her colleague showing patience, kindness and quality care to one of our service users. Lauren’s hard work represents the service/company positively.
Gloria as a manager has been a great support to me and my colleagues in challenging times. She tries as much as possible to meet your needs and gives you a helping hand where necessary at times.
Her coolness and resilience to the job has been a good mentorship to always look at in times of being and work and doing it more diligently.
Since sharing an interest in wanting to develop in my role and progress further, Jake has gone above and beyond. He is getting me more involved in the admin side and sharing his knowledge with me. He is very supportive and will help where he can to ensure I gain the knowledge and confidence to progress.
Awais is fantastic. When the ward was busy, he offered and completed 3 hours of combined 15 minutes and general level observations without complaint in order to ensure the ward ran smoothly.
He always offers to do additional roles and supports his colleagues by picking up any missed observations when staff are late getting back from other duties.
Owen shows true passion for the job, working hard, getting out on activities and bringing activity ideas to the table. He has planned 2 resident holiday since starting 6 months ago and he is really standing out as a very positive impact upon the team and the home.
The future is bright for Mr. Owen.
Georgia has supported myself and service users to start a history club. She has motivated the service users to try new experiences and is always bright and cheerful on shift boosting the mood of the ward.
Shacaine is an extremely good support worker. When a resident is beginning to show signs of being anxious, Shacaine supports them by talking to them calmly which has results in them becoming settled and happy. He also supports other members of the team where needed. Residents always appear happy and safe when being supported by her.
Isis has recently supported multiple service users on holidays working outside of her contracted pattern to ensure service users have a positive experience. Isis also proactively organises themed parties at Beacon House. This demonstrates her passion to those in our care having optimum life experiences.
Dylan has been passionate about encouraging service users to come to our MDT relaxation group and has been a great support in doing this and throughout the sessions. Dylan always brings a positive and encouraging presence and atmosphere with him to the group which helps support the service users to get the most out of the sessions.
Ben portrays a positive attitude on the ward. If a colleague is not feeling well or burnt out, Ben goes out of his way to ensure they feel valued. This could be anything from thanking staff or sharing snacks. Ben is a very understanding and approachable. Therefore, this nomination is just to say thanks for looking after those around you 🙂
Robin has showed that she can work under any pressure taking on a shift in which there were unprecedented 3 discharges and one admission. She was able to co-ordinate the shift and ensure work was completed to a high standard throughout. She continues to display the cygnet values.
