
Joe has worked for the service since it opened which is over 12 years ago. Joe still comes into work everyday willing to learn new things and always asking questions. Joe still possesses the same energy and passion that he did when he first started at cygnet and is always looking for new ideas. Joe is a great role model for both staff and residents
Rachel has recently come off bank ,to join my team full time .She is an absolute god send.
Nothing is too much trouble for Rachel,the people we support are at the centre of all she does .Rachel will complete any given task to a good standard .Rachel works incredibly hard and all done with a smile
Maxine is a amazing Deputy Manager. her passion for the job goes beyond Maxine will down tools and spend time in a group or 1:1 with service users which is proving to be beneficial. Her passion for her job shines through we are proud of Maxine and proud to have her in the team
Amy planned and facilitated the international women’s event that took place at the Beeches. The event that took place included a well being breakfast, international women’s quiz, complementing the Beeches Belle’s session and all female staff members received a goody bag.
Since taking over as hospital manager on the Dunes, Beth has showed an amazing approach to our Deaf staff within this building, ensuring they have access to communication. Beth has empowered the Deaf nurses in this building to reach for the stars and displays such positive and strong approach in ensuring equality of communication for us!
Dr Sharon Collins has developed the Diamond Framework for Kewstoke Knightstone Personality Disorder ward. Sharon has done much hard work on this, writing the framework as well as training the MDT and then offering training to the ward team at site. Results indicate a reduction in incidents on the ward. Well done on the hard work and keep it up!
Uti recognised that searches where required for risk items in service user bedrooms, and then proceeded to carry out more then originally discussed as she had concerns of other items being in bedrooms. Her hard work in arranging and carrying out the searches and was tireless and has helped assure that service user rooms are risk reduced further.
Anthony recently assisted with the Social care interior design competition and helped to create wall mounted ship wheels. Due to the great standard of work produced and the difference this has made to the service, Beacon went on to win the competition. Well done Antony for your input to this project!
Karen goes above and beyond doing her own jobs and helping everyone else with their jobs, is very passionate about her job. She will do anything she can to help others and has such a good relationship with all individuals. She also takes charge of special occasions involving families.
Corrie has had a lot of things going on in her personal life since August last year ( mum diagnosed with cancer, Dad passed away on Xmas day) Corrie continues to come to work with a smile on her face and goes out of her way to make our residents day a lot better. Taking residents out on outings or helping with anything to support them
Steve has worked really hard the past few weeks ensuring multiple service users have holidays planned. Steve has also been mentoring new staff about the process of planning a holiday and is always ready to offer advice. Due to this almost all our service users now have holidays booked and planned for the year.
Catherine is the Head of Psychology for one of the largest sites in the organisation with multiple wards and service lines. Through Catherine’s motivation, dedication and commitment to her role, she has now managed to recruit to all the posts at the service and there are currently no vacancies for psychology, which is a significant achievement.
