
Due to personal circumstances, Dan found himself in a position where he running the kitchen as the only chef for a period of time. Despite only being here a couple of months, he absolutely thrived. He managed to maintain full service, all whilst keeping the kitchen and the team cool, calm and collected. He should be so proud of how he handled it!
Lisa is still pretty new to Outwood , however you would not think this, if you saw her. Lisa is consistent always smiling and more than happy to help where needed , Lisa is very resilient and positive and adapts well to any situation put ahead of Her . Mandy works as an activity coordinator in Newham House. Her dedication to the patients is unquestionable. Mandy plans activities around national events and goes above and beyond in her role to ensure these events are recognised and enjoyed by service users and staff. Umar came to Outwood to help out with staffing, he came with a big smile and a ready to start attitude. As soon as he began supporting he made sure that he had all of the most up to date information and asked lots of questions so he could provide the best care possible.
Silvia has previously needed a lot of support with the medication and the change over. This month has succeeded to complete a changeover from learning, listening and developing to ensure she knows how correctly to support the medication changeover and ensure this makes it safe for the residents.
After a recent challenging week for one of our residents, Boxy supported the team and provided consistency for the resident by working for many days in the same area. He was always willing to step in and provide the best support to the resident and his colleagues. Resulting in everyone staying safe. Well done Boxy.
Dulcie has had a very depleted department this year due to difficulties to recruit and she has persevered and show great resilience. She has continued to offer a high quality program and patient continue to thrive. Dulcie has an excellent work ethic.

In addition to being a dedicated member of the ward team on Primrose Ward, Stephania recently helped the Occupational Therapy team deliver a successful celebration event for Africa Day on CAMHS. Stephania shared with us some of her favourite recipes and worked with the Occupational Health team and the young people to make food for the event. Thanks Stephania! 🙂
