In just a short amount of time, Cherry has gone from staff nurse, to CTL and now to Interim Ward Manager for 2 of our wards. Cherry deserves to be recognised for all of her hard work, she is enthusiastic, nothing is ever too much to ask of her, she thrives at new challenges, is incredibly responsive to all requests and is an outstanding colleague!
Taiba, Daniela, Maddison, Momina and Tanesha helped with supporting a resident during a crisis situation at Gotts Park. This was quite new to the team as he has only recently moved into Gotts Park, the team worked together and showed resilience and their safety intervention skills to provide emotional support and embracing the Cygnet Core Values.
Sophie managed to get confirmation after many years to host and throw a party for the services within our region. Sophie lead the planning of the Valentines Day Ball.Sophie ensured that all services knew what they was doing and that projects got involved. All service users were involved in making decorations.100% the best party in a very long time!
Spencer is the residents’ favourite support worker. In a staff team brimming with female energy, Spencer is the calm in the storm. The residents seek Spencer out because of his light-hearted and humorous approach. He’s even offered to lend a resident a spare suit for a family member’s upcoming funeral. He shows how much he cares, which means a lot
Anthony has worked tirelessly to completely redecorate the reception area and meeting rooms at Lowry House off his own back. Anthony has gone over and above in his role and is often called upon to support other services in the region – which he does with a smile and amazingly helpful attitude. An absolute credit to the team.
Dr Caroline Fleming has displayed excellent growth in her role over the past months. Caroline represented Cygnet Psychology at the Eating Disorder Conference at the Royal College of Psychiatry in London where she presented on the specialist treatment of individuals diagnosed with eating disorder and autism spectrum conditions. Well done Caroline!

Jules has really helped me since starting at Hawkstone a year ago. Whilst doing my course she sat with me and explained things and helped me make a action plan. She is very involved with residents and home and has a lot of passion for the job. She is always there when you need advice or just a general chat and is really supportive and emphatic.
Taryn helped me today whilst I was supporting a resident that I haven’t in some time she helped make make the support fun by interacting with the games I had planed and also playing along with being mischievous which the resident was very happy and it was nice to see them laughing as well
During a safety intervention induction at Shirebrook welfare, Walter showed great passion and understanding around trauma informed care and the importance of supporting individuals in a time of crisis. He was very supportive and professional towards his peers on the course. I wish him the very best at Maple House.
April helped me prepare a training presentation. As she has great IT skills she was able to generate some interesting and high impact content for me to use.
The trainees at the session made positive comments about the handouts and visual aids.
Ayaaz is a wonderful example of a role model for Cygnet. He is so supportive to everyone he meets. He is responsive to requests, proactive, identifies issues and helps before you even know there’s a need. He goes out of his way to help others, ensuring that their IT needs are met, he is very responsive and he’s a genuinely lovely colleague!
