Seun is part of Newham’s SRG and supports the service within this role with a colleague. This role broadens the depth of how the support workers engage with the service and ensures that the support workers have a voice. Seun is a fantastic advocate for this role and his dedication and time is much appreciated! Thanks Seun!
Masy joined the social work team when we were very thin on the ground, she has hit the ground running taking new challenges in her stride. She has never worked an social work environment before but she has worked incredible hard across two secure wards to forge relationships and support our service users with some really challenging barriers.
Ubaldo is an excellent & very experienced member of staff who always supports the team and YPs in difficult situations. He recently supported me during during a very intense session with the staff and stepped up to recognise what went wrong. He made the session comfortable for everybody present in the room and also mediated in between the session.
Acting as a voice for a young person who is currently in General Hospital. They have supported and encouraged this young person to communicate their wants and needs and has gone above to make sure they are supported while in a General Hospital.
Adil arranged a holiday for an individual at Beckly recently. He thought about all the activities that they could take part in while away and organised a trip that suited the needs of the individual. Adil was really enthusiastic about going away and keen to support the individual to try things outside of his routine at home. It was a great holiday.
When one of our service users got injured, Charlotte went above and beyond her duties. Stayed in hospital with him, to give him comfort he needed. That night Charlotte worked straight 18 hours. I believe she deserves to be recognised for her passion.
Swaib was proactive when an individual was having an incident in the back of the car. Swaib managed to safe guard the other individual who was sat in front of the incident what was happening. I want to praise Swaib for his fast thinking and the safe guarding. Swaib was injured in the incident. Swaib was a star that day. Well done Swaib.
Lauren is new to her role as a cook at The Views. She has adapted to the role exceptionally well, and is committed to making fresh, healthy, home-made food for the patients and staff. She has made food from various cultures, such as Jollof Rice, and has made delicious scones on short notice for a group session in the sun! Thank you Lauren!
Courtney had only just returned from leave and managed to arrange and carry out a Euros party for the residents to enjoy the England match in the sunshine this week. Well done Courtney, the party was a great success and lots of fun for all. You worked really hard on a short timescale, thank you.
Joshua has previously needed a lot of support with the medication and the change over. This month has succeeded to complete a changeover from learning, listening and developing to ensure he knows how correctly to support the medication changeover and ensure this makes it safe for the residents.
Alex has been great support in helping me transition into the neuro-psychiatry service line from the mental health rehab. She has been extremely helpful and patient with my endless questions! Thank you for welcoming me onto the therapy team and already teaching me so much!!
