Sandie has been working off site since the pandemic and has been quite isolated from the team physically. Despite her own fair share of challenges, she has offered such kind words of encouragement and advice when I have felt lost this year.
Shanice has taken on the role as Acting Head OT and has been extremely dedicated to shaping the team during a very difficult time. Staffing was very low and COVID-19 restricted a number of activities. The demands on her have been high.
Nikki has been running the timetable/one to ones for the ward on her own for several months whilst I have not been ward based. Although she recognises this has been tough, she has always remained positive.
Dr Haq supports the growth of his colleagues. He organises the monthly CPD programme, and is always willing to discuss/ explain cases/ diagnoses which educate those around him.
I know that if I want to know more about anything that I can always ask!
Gary, our nurse on Swift Ward volunteered his own time to come in and take professional photographs of staff and service users in our Christmas Fayre.
Gary stayed throughout the afternoon capturing shots of the photo booth and various festivities.
Clare has arranged for service user from Redlands and River View to work with the local scout group to make Christmas wreaths. She has supported the service user outside of her working hours to ensure the activity went well for all parties.
I would like to nominate Rose for all the support she gives to her OT team. She is always approachable and works extremely hard as THE solo occupational therapist at Delfryn lodge, although juggling a mountain of work nothing was ever to much 🙂
Steve has gone above and beyond during the recent snow, coming to the site despite only having motorcycle transport out of hours at weekends and nights to ensure that our paths and car parks are safe for all the staff at work.
Emma is a kind soul with time to listen to service users and staff alike, always willing to put others before herself and help in any way she can, even if she isn’t having a positive day herself.
Lewis has an uncanny habit of knowing when staff are a bit down, his positive demeanour, offer of a cuppa, a biscuit or a mint is always a well timed little pick me up. Thanks Lewis !
Ola has worked tirelessly at Ealing over the last year most of the time having to cover New Dawn ward which has been without a manager.
She remains positive and drives forward to improve the quality of care despite set backs and disappointments.
Kerry joined our team a few months ago with no previous experience. Despite this Kerry has shown tremendous passion in her role and works very hard every day . She takes great interest in everything she does and it really shows.
