
Watching Holly engage the service users in constructive activities that help build their confidence and give them purpose is such a treat. No matter how challenging the ward gets, Holly always has a smile on her face and an empathetic response.
Heather is an excellent nurse and is often faced with incredibly difficult situations on the ward. Despite this, she always positive, willing to support others and is person-centred in her approach. Thank you Heather!
Penny volunteered last minute to support a service user on a week long holiday as the allocated staff who was meant to go on holiday was unwell and could not go. Penny demonstrated her passion for the role in not wanting resident to miss out.
Caitlin supported me as I felt nervous during an incident. She stayed with me the entire time to make me feel safe until the service user appeared calmer and more settled. She helped me nurse my wounds by bringing me a wipe and being very caring.
Yugo is popular among service users and his well liked by his team mates for his kind nature and ability to work hard. He hardly ever stops, I have never seen him stressed or moaning. Thank you for all your efforts Yugo!

I would like to nominate Claire, for her hard work for the service during the pandemic. She has worked tirelessly to provide an amazing variety of activities that provide education, relaxation or entertainment. She’s made a real difference and impact.
Emily noticed a resident’s teddy needed fixing. We didn’t have a sewing kit at service and so she brought her own sewing kit in to fix it. She wasn’t supporting this resident that day, she made time in her day to fix it and it made the resident so happy.
Mabruka has a wonderful kind way with our Service Users when they are in distress she can easily and quickly prevent them having a meltdown. She has an amazing rapport with patients which gives them confidence that they will be understood.
Javaid has shown that he is a dedicated and hard working member of the team and has already been nominated for employee of the month by patients, even though he has only been in post 4 months! Javaid is a bright and positive presence in the hospital.
Alastair has worked tirelessly to help the Wallace patients with communication. He has developed useful easy read materials for the patients and adjusts then frequently according to their needs and preferences. He is always cheerful and positive.
We had a stressful day today and Laura has been doing jobs that weren’t even hers. She has had a smile on her face and been super supportive of staff.
