Cygnet Appletree, near Durham, is a mental health hospital for women that includes Pippin Ward, a specialist PICU service and Bramley Ward, an acute service for women. Our person-centred service has been designed with wellness in mind, providing a safe and comfortable environment that promotes efficient rehabilitation and recovery. We are dedicated to understand, stabilise and break the traumatic cycles of relapse that can impact service users’ lives.

Cygnet Hospital Hexham

Cygnet Hospital Hexham is our 27 bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital is built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment. Situated amongst the soft fields and meadows of the Tyne valley, which is known for its abbey, leafy parks, and mix of independent shops, the hospital will provide an important and much-needed service for service users within the North East of England.

Cygnet Newham House

Cygnet Newham House is our 20-bed neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility providing rehabilitation for women affected by acquired brain injuries (ABI). The hospital provides a safe and secure place to aid recovery alongside offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntington’s Disease, a placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

Hollyhurst

Hollyhurst is a specialist residential service with nursing, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in Darlington, County Durham. The specialist MDT led team support individuals who have additional mental or physical health needs and behaviours that may challenge. Hollyhurst is a detached period property is set in its own private gardens which is accessed by a private tree-lined driveway. Located in the town of Darlington, the residents have access to a great range of recreational and leisure facilities as well as being just a short drive away from some beautiful County Durham countryside.

Cygnet St William’s

Cygnet St William’s is a 12 bed Neuropsychiatric service offering care and treatment to those affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntington’s Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The hospital is a modern purpose built facility which has been designed specifically to provide a clinically led evidence based neuropsychiatric pathway for those individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge.

Cygnet Victoria House

Cygnet Victoria House is a 26 bed mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community.
