We’re looking for a Head of Care – RMN / RNLD /RGN with a passion for delivering high quality care to join our great team at Cygnet Woodrowe House.

You will be working full time, 40 hours per week.  Please note this role does carry the responsibility of on-call duties

Cygnet Woodrowe House:
Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield. We specialise in complex care and provide continuing rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs.

Your day-to-day…

  • Provide the highest standard of care & lead by example to ensure consistent high standards are met.
  • Co-ordinate all health care needs of the residents to include medication, care planning, risk management, report writing and other healthcare documentation
  • Be conversant with and implement all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to the care rehabilitation team. Work as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings & development of evidence/ research-based practice
  • Participate in the manager’s on-call system to provide the first point of contact outside of normal working hours.
  • On occasion may be required to Deputise in the Managers absence. To attend meetings with external bodies and liaise with other healthcare professionals.

You are…

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse/Registered Learning Disability Nurse/Registered General Nurse with a valid pin (RMN / RNLD / RGN)
  • Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
  • Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
  • Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
  • Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
  • Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & the latest nursing practices
  • • Focused on person centred care, to monitor, manage & reduce risk
