We are looking for an Account Reconciliation Manager on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract, to join our team at Nepicar House, Sevenoaks (soon to be relocating to Kings Hill).

Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.

Role summary

The Account Reconciliation Manager is a key position within the finance team of the Cygnet Health Care Group. This role is expected to lead a new team and take ownership of a project to reconcile and clear aged debtors on high volume, high values accounts. Working closely with our commercial teams and funders in resolving rate issues, managing cash collections and identify potential revenue recognition. 

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing the reconciliation project, ensuring that reconciliation processes comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, assigning accounts to be reconciled, and monitoring progress.
  • Managing a small team of reconciliation assistants.
  • Working to resolve identified discrepancies, often involving communication with other departments and stakeholders, including funding, commercial, credit control and cash allocations teams to ensure a successful and accurate outcome for each account reconciled.
  • Establish and maintain funder relationships, helping to maximise cash collections.
  • Preparing reports and analysing reconciliation data to identify trends, impact, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Use and manage large data sets from multiple sources to ensure completeness and accuracy of each account reconciliation.
  • Review reconciliations from the team and collate evidence to back outcomes.
  • Prepare credit note and back bill requests to support amendments to ledger, including the reconciliations and evidence to support the amendments.
  • Any ad-hoc duties that arise.
