Sajid has really helped out senior staff by supporting residents to access meds during staffing challenges. It’s a little out of his comfort zone, but he’s done a fantastic job, made sure people living at Outwood are safe and comfortable. We really appreciate the team work
Ashleigh is an invaluable member of the Stevenage team. She is dedicated and hardworking. She has taken on additional responsibilities without question. She takes great pride in her role and has improved her skills, in turn supporting and empowering others by imparting her knowledge and providing guidance. She always displays a ‘can do attitude’.
Royce is a Newly qualified nurse who completed his preceptorship her at cygnet bury on upper west ward. He never fails to bring a positive attitude to work, finding the silver lining, playing his music in the office, having a dance with the staff and patients on the ward, telling jokes and bringing a smile to both his colleagues and patient faces.
Jamil came in as as interim deputy manager when the service needed one. His positive spirit lifted all staff to work cooperatively, that saw the service achieve a GOOD rating from CQC, GOOD rating from PAMMS and ‘QI Ready’. The service has now made it to the 4 finalist on the Cygnet Staff Achievement Awards.
Nathan showed great empathy and care by supporting an individual from Outwood through a challenging appointment and lots of anxiety. He showed great compassion and care to ensure they were able to attend the appointment, get the care they needed and remained happy and smiley throughout, parents were also there and very impressed.

Faye is this type of manager, who is easily accessible for service users and staff. She is highly visible on the ward. There are times when we all feel life is too much, thankfully she always finds time to offer good, old fashioned chat and continuously tries to find best solution to support staff. We all feel, you’re on our side.

Helen has taken the role of a mentor and buddy to 2 new employees. Helen has supported them as they go through their probation journey, giving guidance and encouragement as they learn their new roles. Andrew always has a joke or interesting fact to share with staff and service users. He is always willing to help and support everyone as required and he always tries to look on the bright side and support others to see the positives of each situation.
Scott is always a positive influence on the team, never complains always does what is asked of him and will go above and beyond for the service users. One service user who hasn’t been well recently will always ask for Scott to be the person to see him in hospital which is a testament to the relationships he has built in his time at Oxley
Christian joined our team with no experience. He was eager to learn and adapt his personal skills in a professional service. He has built fantastic therapeutic relationships with some of our most complex individuals. An took time to understand their needs. He empowers the people he supports and advocates on their behalf at all times.
