
Riah is a fun and passionate Occupational Therapist. She has contributed towards the development of a Model of Care Group for patients, and did a great job in presenting the Model of Care Presentation to new staff this week. She continues to demonstrate growth and progression in her role as an OT. Well done Riah, keep up the great work.
Charlotte is a very experienced member of staff who is a real team player with lots of ideas to share. Charlotte has an excellent sense of humour and is always on the ball with everything that goes on here at Norcott. Charlotte can also be super professional but always has time to help out others. Charlotte has lots of respect especially from myself.
Chloe is due to go on maternity leave and until this point has worked to cover all shifts, meet residents activity requests out of her own working pattern and has generally gone above and beyond repeatedly to better improve her service and her residents day to day lives. Chloe is an advocate for person centred care.
Robert has spent lots time working with some of our most challenging residents both on Kirkside House and Lodge. He really takes the time to build a good rapport with all of our residents, learning what they like to do and talk about. Robert is always happy to help and is full of great stories which keep both service users and staff entertained.
Lauren has really helped me to transition homes. She has supported me to learn about the residents and my new role and has offered guidance when needed. Lauren has an open door policy and has been very supportive whilst I’ve been transitioning. Lauren trained me at my old home in order to be confident enough to go for this role.
Throughout a challenging time on the ward Hannah has assisted with covering the ward manager alongside assisting with nursing duties on the ward. This has been appreciated by all the staff and patients, so thank you very much for your flexibility and hard work in assisting with ward improvement.
Bex is an excellent leader, colleague and psychologist. She is incredibly motivated, hard working, supportive and fun. She is extremely resilient and is able to manage her ever growing workload, and remains positive regardless. She contributes lots to her service and wider region, always being available to lend a hand and offer advice to others.
I would like to nominate our chef for all the hard work she puts in cooking our meals and excellent menu planning also when we do in house activities she does above and beyond preparing the food and buffets and also does themed days as well, Kay puts a lot of effort and hard work into what she does and I hope she receives this nomination.
Gemma is always willing to support and try new activities with residents even if it may be challenging. She will liaise and support MDT interventions and is always open to discussion and new ideas. She works very well with the residents adapting her approach for each one.
Karl has been working at Amberwood lodge for many years. He knows the residents extremely well and is always looking to support them and advocate for them. He also supports new staff well with getting to know the residents and the best approaches and also seeks advice and advocates for his team too.
Beth had worked closely with the OT team in spreading awareness in supporting both staff and patients in gaining a better understanding of our service pathway. Beth has worked hard in establishing a collaborative approach with our patients in ensuring their views and suggestions are heard. Beth ensures patients are at the heart of her practice.
Gemma has spent a lot of time developing a therapeutic relationship with one of our challenging patients who spends a lot of time in his room. She has supported him to increase his diet intake and to adhere to his personal hygiene. She has shown huge amount of dedication to her role to improve the quality of life for this patient.
