
Abbe is a great asset to the team, she has demonstrated leadership by covering for maternity leave and guiding the support staff in their day to day role. She is approachable and keen to work with the wider team to achieve more for the unit and the service users. Abbe is well liked by the service users and staff team and is an asset.
Katie has been working hard to call all the young people’s community schools at our hospital to ensure they have all the right support for their GCSE examinations as well as gaining them pathways for post-16 to give these students reassurance through a challenging time. Katie’s communication with community schools needs to be credited and recognised.
Chloe has been working incredibly hard as the exams officer making sure our students are being supported through the exam season. She has facilitated the transfer of all of our GCSE candidates and is going above and beyond for all these students. She is also working hard to support the staff during this stressful period.
Jodie works at another site (Outwood) near Kirkside and its always willing to come over to Kirkside lodge and take our resident’s out for drives and walks when we don’t have drivers onsite

Taryn is new to the service but has already shown a great attitude, impressing the whole team. Taryn has built great relationships with residents and is already skilled in managing incidents well. Taryn is determined to provide enrichment with our residents and constantly looking and asking for ways to improve her care, already a credit to the team
Hannah bring comfort to the shift, she is friendly, cheerful and jolly and really bring a soothing atmosphere to the pines, when you see her car in the car park you feel at ease knowing there wont be any bickering but a great atmosphere, she leads a steady ship. she has a old head on young shoulders and she uses that to deliver her joyful goods.
Marcin has been extremely flexible in his working hours by covering over 60 hours of over time following staff sickness. Marcin has made himself available at very short notice and has swapped between dayshift and nightshift with very little rest days and given up on his own personal plans to support our individuals.
Ryan has recently completed his World Class Manager course – the 1st cohort of leaders to complete within Cygnet. He has been really enthusiastic throughout, shared his learning with others, and applied it to his role and mentoring of others and set a great example for the team showing how engaging with training impacts the service so positively!

Lara has been very supportive in her role on the White House in supporting both patients and the ward team. She has been coming an asking if the ward team need any support with facilitating things for patients on the ward and this has been muchly appreciated by the ward team and the ward patients.
I have been having some personnel problems which has been affecting me deeply. JJ has helped me through and was always there for me to talk to to support me and at times for me to yell at and she never told me she didn’t have time and was always taking time out of her busy day to make sure that i was okay.
She has been caring for our residents for over a decade! Throughout it all she shares her wisdom onto others so we can help each resident to the best of our abilities. Laura consistently gives 110% in every shift, helping others out at every opportunity. She encourages us to be our best self, I would not have made it this far without her.
