While creating plans for Cygnet in bloom for our site, the passion displayed by Gemma to create a safe space for our residents was immense. She had so many great ideas to incorporate the 5 senses(touch, taste, smells, sight and sound). She included all of these within our garden, and spent many hours painting the fences to create this.
Doug Forrest from Columbus Male Ward will go that extra mile when asked for help. In particular he will liaise with service users to attend their Recovery college sessions and if there are no staff to escort, Doug will drop them off himself. I often telephone the Ward and Doug is always happy to help and will always call back. Very efficient.

Claire is a member of the housekeeping team however, this does not stop her from supporting in other areas of the Mews when needed.
She will work on support, kitchen and cover the reception when needed to. This is all alongside her housekeeping jobs -she takes pride in everything she is tasked with and nothing phases her or is too much trouble.
I have had a very busy few weeks and asked Jade and another ATL to help with a large piece of work collecting staff information to upload digitally.
Jade set up a tick sheet and got the information back to me within 48hrs. This has made my week. Her continual support and helpful nature has been so appreciated and I would like for her to benefit from this.
Georges role has recently changed and he has adapted quite well to this. George is working hard and blossoming into a new way of working which means our residents are benefiting from person centred and new activities as well as working of life skills. Thank you George.
In the absence of the ward manager on our Acute ward (Annual Leave), Kelly stepped up and deputised effortlessly. She remained calm, cool and professional at all times, and worked diligently to make sure all patients and staff have been well looked after and supported.
Luke should and will be proud of you as we all are!
