Jo was especially diligent in maintaining the integrity of the GCSE examination papers this May/June – her hard work and keen eye for security was a huge contributing factor to the Phoenix School passing their JCQ inspection during the exam series. Thanks Jo!
The maintenance team at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield did us proud this year, making sure that alongside their extensive list of jobs they found the time to support the Phoenix School prom by hanging the bunting and erecting the huge marquee among other things. We couldn’t have done it without them.

Diana planned an activity for one of our residents at Oakwood. She had planned the activity very well to ensure all aspects of the trip run smoothly. She is eager to plan more activities for the residents at Oakwood to promote choice and inclusion. You are doing a fab job!
Olivia encourages all service users to participate in activities, making sure they get meaningful activities. Olivia is positive and enthusiastic and really cares about all residents in her care. She will take time out of her normal jobs to help a service user in distress. Olivia will go above and beyond for the residents.
Dom is a super passionate member of staff on the ward. In her own time she has made communication cards for all of the staff on the ward to enable patients to be able to communicate effectively with us when struggling. Dom is always happy to go the extra mile and support all staff and patients 🙂
Thank you so much Dom we all really appreciate you!
Paul is always on hand with a hot drink. He always knows when you need a chat or a pick-me-up and delivers a joke with excellent timing. Paul is always willing to support and offer guidance and is a reassuring presence on shift.
Keith is always presented with a lengthy list of wants from myself in particular. He greets each task with a smile and a laugh, even when an idea seems a little silly. He is always quick to find a solution and is not afraid of hard work. Recently Keith has supported residents to work with him on some maintenance tasks which has been fantastic.
Mohammad has worked very positively and confidently with a new resident that has moved in to the home recently. Picking up additional shifts to help train others and offering to guide the team when they are seeking knowledge. Mohammad has led by example and over come many challenges when building a positive rapport with a quite complex individual.
Matthew is an asset to the team. The patience he has for his fellow colleagues and to support them to grow within their roles is admirable. Matthew has good rapports will all residents, they will often seek him out for support. Despite the struggles he has faced recently he doesn’t let this break his stride and effect the comfort he provides to all
