Keeley stayed at work after starting at 13:00 through the night to support her team due to the acuity on the ward and completed a night shift. She has shown great passion for the patients and ensuring the safety at the detriment of herself.
Due to a necessity in the nursing team Katie has been taking on extra roles that are not normally within her remit. She has been conducting ward rounds, morning meetings and other nursing aspects that she has not only completed she has excelled at.
Tessa was supporting not only a challenging resident that is going through a crisis, she also showed amazing resilience and pass this on to the team which helped the team feel more confident. She is a credit to Outwood.
Luke always works well with the residents but specifically was seen to be doing some great work with encouraging a resident to try new activities and making it fun in the garden, as well as getting other staff involved. It was great to see that. Keep it up Luke.
Deanna works on the ward as a SMHSW, as well as being a part time trainer for SI. Deanna will ensure she has the time and flexibility to train others and is often asked to work within the training department last minute alongside her full time role to ensure that all staff are receiving the standard of training they deserve.
Deborah Burrows is extremely helpful, she goes above and beyond her duties to ensure we are compliant with our training. She took an hour out of her busy schedule and guided me through Achieve. She has also visited both of our Manchester sites and gone through in depth how to get the best out of Achieve.
VH supported a service user who was admitted into hospital. VH & her colleagues supported the service user throughout the duration of their admittance. The feedback from Hospital staff and also visitors on the ward for Victoria has been exceptional. She is compassionate, caring & holds all of the values of Cygnet.
Derek is always flexible with staff and residents and makes sure boundaries are kept and residents are treated in the correct manner. Derek is always available to take residents out for any activities even to a point they ask for him as they know mutual respect is always there. Derek always keeps the passion of the job and the company ethos.
Nicole had been part of reflective listening training and was witnessed putting the skills she had gained into practice. A patient was distressed and upset regarding a situation and Nicole made them feel heard and listened to, you could visibly see the patient relax and feel her views and voice was important and being heard.
Sabina puts in 100% effort into all her work and is constantly ready to help everyone who approaches her with work and intervention ideas. Sabina goes above and beyond with her work all day, even coming into work early to get started on her tasks for the day. I don’t think Sabina’s hard work should go unrecognised. Well done Sab 🙂
Wilma has supported the team at Walkern Lodge and brought the CQC rating to a good standard. Wilma is always on the end of the line if ever needed without any complaints. I believe Wilma deserves all of the care recognition more than just support. The team at Walkern Lodge surely appreciates all the support that Wilma gives without any complaints.
I’m nominating Donna for this recognition as she has recently had some feedback from an Operational Director about how well she has communicated with a resident’s family member in the service where she works. Family commendations are very important in our work and this demonstrates the excellent communication skills of Donna.
