
We have challenging residents who find it difficult to go to the barbers or even willing barbers in the area. Dilly utilises his skills as a qualified barber to provide this support to those in our care. Ensuring they are well-groomed and mental well-being is maintained. He will even come in his own time to provide this support. Thank you Dilly!
Nearing the end of my pregnancy, I have had several health issues, however Amy has continued to support me both professionally and personally to ensure that I can continue within my role, adapting the service so that I can continue for as long as possible. Despite leaving soon, Amy continues to teach me new things, to ensure my learning is current.
Cate has been brilliant at supporting me throughout a recent sickness. The support I have received from her has took a great deal of stress off my shoulders while I’ve been sick and I’m so grateful. She’s kind, caring and supportive.
Nicola has been an excellent support to the service. She has a housekeeper role. Our chef is on leave this week and Nicola has stepped in to help the service by going into the kitchen and cover the meals. She made a delicious buffet for the halloween party and has been more than supportive to put in the extra hours to support the service users.
Scott is our mental health first aider at Outwood, and over the last few months has supported people through some real challenges. It’s such an important role within our services and Scott really puts the effort in to ensure people feel supported and reassured within their roles. Thanks Scott, we appreciate.
Since starting with Cygnet, Lawrence has been non-stop improving the home for the service users. Redecorating many of the bedrooms and just giving the home the general TLC which was required. He has clearly put his heart and soul into what he does. His dedication and hard work has left a genuine impact on everybody who enters Kirkside.
Daemon has been voted for star of the week this week for being amazing and a good fella, patients report he constantly makes them smile through his humour.
He has a calm, positive, empathetic approach with all service users and a very touching moment was witnessed when he ensured a patients needs were put first by holding an umbrella for them in bad weather.
Suki has been at the centre of all the fun activities within the service. Recently she supported all the residents at Willow to hold a baking session for world mental health day to which the staff and resident all participated and had fund with.
Joanna loves her job and she demonstrates this with the way she cares for our service users. She is always passionate in supporting people in our care and she is never put off even when those in distress assaulted her. Joanna introduced in community meeting ‘General talk about medication importance’ and this has facilitated compliance.
Recently I was subject to a potential scam, during which someone requested to change my bank details with HR. Selina identified this as a scam, alerted myself and relevant internal bodies, to ensure that I was kept safe. She was vigilant and diligent in her job to keep my details safe and secure. She most definitely saved my Christmas!
During a waking night, a service users was having several incidents that were challenging. Paul wasn’t on call, however came into service and supported the night staff team with this. Paul ensured the service user and staff team were supported and all were safe. Thank you Paul 🙂
