I have had a very busy few weeks and asked team leaders to help with a large piece of work collecting staff information to upload digitally. Kayleigh got the information back to me on her next shift, even though she was very busy. This has made my week. Her support has been so appreciated and I would like for her to benefit from this.
I have been experiencing a difficult time recently due to personal issues and Laura has gone above and beyond to make sure I feel supported and also reassured me I have nothing to worry about as she has always made time to help and support me and understands me. She is a perfect example of how a manager should be.
Tori works so hard to support all the young people on Unicorn ward as well as any of the staff when they need – always offering both a cup of tea and welcoming space to chat. Tori has helped many of our young people grow and work towards discharge with thanks to the amazing support she offers them day in and day out.
Chloe has been working really hard throughout the exam period to make sure our service users are able to sit their GCSE exams with the appropriate access arrangements for each individual student. Our service users wouldn’t have been able to get through this time without the hard work and dedication of Chloe.
Georgia, an outstanding new support worker, exemplifies a growth mindset by gracefully accepting feedback and making remarkable progress every day. She wholeheartedly supports her team and demonstrates an insatiable thirst for knowledge about her residents, which translates into exceptional care and support.
From the moment Karen comes on to shift she doesn’t stop. She is so hard working. She offers amazing person centred care and knows all our residents needs and ensures that who ever she is supporting has a fantastic day. If she has a spare moment, she is cooking and cleaning and giving a boost to the staffing team too. We would be lost without Karen.
Bruno is a strong member of the team, and goes above and beyond. Bruno works to get all residents involved in activities, has built strong, trusting relationships with all residents promoting choice. During a recent incident, Bruno helped a resident regulate when they were in distress, calming them almost instantly. A wonderful member of the team!
While creating plans for Cygnet in bloom for our site, the passion displayed by Gemma to create a safe space for our residents was immense. She had so many great ideas to incorporate the 5 senses(touch, taste, smells, sight and sound). She included all of these within our garden, and spent many hours painting the fences to create this.
Doug Forrest from Columbus Male Ward will go that extra mile when asked for help. In particular he will liaise with service users to attend their Recovery college sessions and if there are no staff to escort, Doug will drop them off himself. I often telephone the Ward and Doug is always happy to help and will always call back. Very efficient.
Sarah is a true grafter, taking on responsibility of the senior nurse role and demonstrating exceptional leadership skills. She excels in all areas of her work, covering management during AL all whilst engaging in the leadership and management course to further her development. Sarah is a valued member of the team and her hard work is appreciated.
Jodie is always up for a challenge, happy to assist the ward on either team, either shift pattern and any job. Jodie is a trusted member of the team to deliver great care in accordance with care plans and is a person that can be relied on to deescalate challenging situations. She shows great determination and compassion in all aspects of her job.
Carl is one of our senior support workers. Not only does he give an outstanding level of support to the people he looks after, he also fills in as our chef when called upon. Delivering fantastic food, full of flavour utilising his past skills as a chef. Carl is an all rounder and a truly fantastic colleague to work with.
