Sophie has worked hard on summer activities, arranging beach parties, BBQ’s a monthly social club for her own service and the neighbouring services which has increased all residents social integration. The residents absolutely love all the activities and fun.
Jo has shown an outstanding ability and knowledge with regards to supporting a new complex resident to settle in a new placement, while working on least restrictive practice and striving towards the resident achieving independence goals and choices. The resident has grown to trust and rely on Jo’s consistent and caring approach. Well done Joanne!
Muis came to us as a preceptor nurse. Since starting with us he has gone from strength to strength. Taking a lead in clinical discussions, being supportive to his team, leading the shift effectively and being welcoming and informative to our student nurses. He is always willing to learn and take on tasks and completes to the best of his ability.
I would to like for Rajin to receive this award as he helped me to move around some bedroom future as I have a torn ligament in my knee & as he saw that I was in pain he just got up & came to the bedroom which needed a deep clean.
He is so good with the resident & he never says no if you ask for help. He always has a smile no matter what & he works hard all the time.
I have recently been helping out a Service which is going through a very busy, difficult period. All the staff have been welcoming. Sobbia, however, has really stood out as going above an beyond in her support. Firstly, she went on with a service user on a holiday which was booked with one days notice. Secondly, she has been very helpful with complex meds rounds
Ben is a breath of fresh air. He always manages to turn difficult situations around and engage the patients and staff in fun activities. He is never afraid to be silly and in return the patients feel at ease to be themselves and let their hair down. Everyone loves when Ben’s on shift, he boosts morale and brings happiness and fun to the ward.
Rhys took it upon himself on Saturday to single-handedly clean living skills area in our unit from top to bottom as it was not in its best form. He washed every inch of the area including the cupboards and fridge. The area is now looking exceptional and the staff want to keep it like that!
Brodie recognised that someone in her care was struggling regarding upcoming medical appointments. In a MDT meeting she sat with the patient and helped her break each worry down so they could solve it together. Brodie did this by supporting the patient to write down her worries, fears and concerns and they managed those together and found solutions.
Lumbani has only been at Godden Green for a short period of time but has brought to the team fun, consistency and passion, and is keen to learn all aspects of the job role. He will go above and beyond to meet the service users’ needs, whilst supporting his colleagues. A much valued member of the team.
Mohammed has taken time out to research local gyms and to seek out a suitable one for a service user to attend who enjoys exercise, Mohammed now takes the service user on a weekly basis and ensures that he is using the gym equipment correctly. Mohammed has also taken the service user swimming too which is something that they both enjoy doing together.
Jane agreed to transfer services for 6 weeks to help out at Thornfield House, knowing this would be a very difficult challenge as the service has many staff vacancies and challenges at the moment. Jane has come to the service with a very positive mindset and has worked really hard to quickly adapt and learn the structure of the very busy service!
Ayaaz can visit any of our services to complete one job, but will help us to complete any number of other little jobs. He is fantastic support and we can rely on his help whenever he is around.
He even helped me rescue some paperwork from behind a filing cabinet drawer by taking the drawer out and he even replaced it. We think he is amazing!
