For going over and above supporting the wards with laundry, whilst we have issues with washing machines, she has sorted out local laundry facilities to come and collect the washing and return it clean. She has made sure the patients have been in clean clothes which we know is a big part of helping a person feel better in themselves.
Compliment received for Martin by a Nurse at Appletree. “I want to appreciate your immense help towards my relocation to Appletree. You contributed positively towards the journey and I must affirm you are part of the reason I finally came. I have heard a lot of positive feedback about how supportive you have been to your staff, especially nurses.”
Zoe has put her heart and soul into supporting the staff/patients through a really difficult time. Her ongoing efforts and the time she takes to provide a safe space for others to talk is such a valuable tool. She seeks to involve the wider MDT and plan ahead for the future and is so flexible the time she puts in to ensure she is there for all.
Kolade is a new staff member at Norcott Lodge and supported myself alongside other staff members with supporting residents and shows real pride in his work. Kolade supported myself and others recently in a particularly difficult situation, showing his amazing growth in a short period of time. Thank you Kolade.
Ade has been seen to have the strength and determination to rise through tough challenges in the form of providing amazing support to a resident who was hitting out during an incident.
Ade remained supportive/positive and continued to provide the best care possible to de-escalate the situation with good effect. He’s a great asset to our team.
Folake has recently been promoted to Senior Support Worker. She has blossomed into the role and has taken everything I have thrown at her in her stride. She manages to take care of our young people, support staff in all aspects and puts up with me, which is probably the biggest challenge :). Keep going you’ve got this.
I would like to nominate Darren because he has been a great support to me with completing my COSHH risk assessments. This is something i have struggled with but with Darren’s support and empowerment i have been able to complete to a high standard. Thank you Darren for giving me the belief that I can do it. Your support is truly appreciated.
Kathryn lead a HUGE hospital wide rollout of our new eRoster system. This has been a mammoth task and done alongside her day job of making sure the wards are safely staffed. She really has gone over and above. She liaised with external parties as well as our own staff and made the whole process go smoothly. She is a complete superstar!
Sarah works as Head of Pathways. During the recent Eleni house closure her leadership was exceptional. She worked hard in getting all the professionals together including our internal team to arrange meetings. She also went above and beyond to place Eleni house residents in their new home with a smooth transition plan and continuous support.
It was recognised that Isis shows intense enthusiasm in her role as a support worker at Beacon House. She was under the weather one day and not feeling very well but continued to be dedicated to her work. She was giving Sulaimon, a new starter, a tour around the site and was maintaining and showing good communication skills through the tour.
Jas is always so helpful, although I don’t directly work with her, whenever I message her about anything to do with rewards or benefits she is always so proactive in finding the answers to help our staff at Stevenage. To me she is an invaluable member of Cygnet and certainly helps make my job easier. She is definitely my go to girl – thank you!
Maxine went above and beyond to show compassion and support to the bereaved family of a service user who sadly passed away. She made cushions for the family out of clothes/ bedding with catchphrases the service user regularly said hand sewn on.
