Sylwia created an educational trolley regarding sugar content, for our community meeting with patients. This provided a visual to increase awareness of both staff and patients for the amount of sugar which is in our everyday foods and juice. This is one act where she has been a huge support to the team and responded quickly.
Lance spent 2 hours unblocking a service user’s toilet, he was not asked and took it upon himself. This was greatly appreciated as staff had previously tried and failed. The service user was extremely grateful.
I was lucky enough to have Georgia shadow me for a few days many months ago when she first joined the company. It comes with great pleasure to see that she is doing extremely well. I see her on many trips I recommended and even now we contact each other each week to share ideas. There is a real unity between between both homes and many joint trips.
Georgina is hugely supportive of all the service users on Sunrise Ward. She goes above and beyond to ensure all the service users needs are met and during a recent really difficult period she went to every service user to offer psychology support before she left for the day. I think she is truly deserving of this recognition.
Nicole was asked to cover OT therapy groups due to sickness. Nicole took this role on happily, engaging all the patients in the activities with a brilliant turn out, the patients reported the groups were really good and engaging and there was a sense of community on the ward. Nicole always works hard at her job.
I’m a new site administrator and I have two sites. I got File Audit feedback for my other site when I was at Thornfield. She supported me through rationalising the feedback, understanding the implications of the next steps & demonstrated how although I was powerless to change the outcome of the audit, I did have the power to choose how to react.
Chloe has been with us for 6 months and offers a tremendous amount of support. Chloe shows her support by helping new members of staff, help with observations, taking shorter breaks to support the ward and being an amazing role model for developing staff.
Tina has worked tirelessly over the past few weeks with a service user who is having a lot of problems at the moment. Tina makes herself available to all service users at all times but has spent a lot of time recently with this service user helping her negotiate the tricky path she is on at present.
Amanda came to Griffin ward to support me as there was no OT at the time and I was alone for 4 months. Sh helped the YP’s by injecting passion and taking so much off my work load. Amanda has also run a successful Mcmillan coffee morning raising money for charity.
Jayne always has a smile and a warm welcome to all visitors, staff and residents at Gledholt Mews. She always gives 110% in what she does and nothing is ever too much trouble. She has a great relationship with staff and residents alike. She always has a stash of chocolate and biscuits at hand for those days which can be a challenge 🙂
Tom has provided some superb support with some software that I’ve had issues working with via a local connection. At short notice he has been able to make updates that would have taken me hours to do and has thus saved me not only a lot of time but at the same time ensured that updates to corporate email signatures have been done on time.
Holly goes above and beyond every day. The MDT think she is inspirational in promoting, implementing and modelling support and interventions through kind, caring and professional communication.
She has transformed the lounge area into a spaceships & aliens themed environment with artwork by the residents and staff, which looks so cool and friendly!
