Beacon has recently gone through a very difficult time as one of our residents passed away. Jeff ensured he was with him through to the end and that he wasn’t alone giving him some form of comfort at the end. Jeff has also been empathetic and understanding to all staff that have worked with this individual ensuring we are well supported. Thank you

Udoka has worked hard to gain the trust of our patients – we have a number of patients with severe learning disabilities and autism and Udoka’s positive and calm manner has enabled them to trust him to deliver care to a really high standard, and to enable patients to achieve goals that has previously been very difficult for them.
Simon has worked proactively on a number of complex cases recently and provided a consistent and thorough service. Simon has a wealth of knowledge in data protection rules and how they apply to processes within Cygnet. Simon’s responsiveness and effort in detailed explanations go a long way to building trust in the advice and shared learning.
Dr. Aslam is consistently supportive of the Psychology Team, MDT, and wider team at St Teilo. In an extremely busy role, Dr Aslam amazingly finds time to support others in many aspects of their role when needed, and approaches all interactions with an active listening approach. This provides all staff with safe and supportive interactions.
Neil is always supporting all staff at Bury as well as across other sites at Cygnet although he is very busy to resolve everyones’ issues. He was on annual leave when a problem occurred on the switchboard and it was not working when Neil heard about this. Despite being on annual leave he contacted me at work and offered support and fixed the issue.
Emily has made a huge impact on my career development, helping me forge a new role & encouraging other cygnet sites to take me on board. I now work across three cygnet sites as a music facilitator, doing what I love. Also, Emily’s door is always open for colleagues who are struggling, she will always look for & find practical solutions of support.

4 staff members attended to a medical emergency at a neighbours on request. They all performed CPR on an 87 year old neighbour who had collapsed and supported the family members. Sadly he passed away but the support the staff gave was above and beyond and really appreciated by the family.
