Suki has been at the centre of all the fun activities within the service. Recently she supported all the residents at Willow to hold a baking session for world mental health day to which the staff and resident all participated and had fund with.
Joanna loves her job and she demonstrates this with the way she cares for our service users. She is always passionate in supporting people in our care and she is never put off even when those in distress assaulted her. Joanna introduced in community meeting ‘General talk about medication importance’ and this has facilitated compliance.
Recently I was subject to a potential scam, during which someone requested to change my bank details with HR. Selina identified this as a scam, alerted myself and relevant internal bodies, to ensure that I was kept safe. She was vigilant and diligent in her job to keep my details safe and secure. She most definitely saved my Christmas!
During a waking night, a service users was having several incidents that were challenging. Paul wasn’t on call, however came into service and supported the night staff team with this. Paul ensured the service user and staff team were supported and all were safe. Thank you Paul 🙂
Rebecca’s empathy is second to none and her continued perseverance in nurturing some highly complex individuals has been beautiful to observe. Through her consistency and empathetic nature, she is able to make patients at the their lowest point in life believe that there is hope and that they deserve to receive a high standard of care. A true empath.
She showed exceptional care with one of our patients during her end of life care. She worked tirelessly to ensure this patient was comfortable, clean during her last days. I have never seen such devotion from a staff member and it truly was beautiful to watch. Sadly the patient has passed, but i know that she would be grateful for Donna’s efforts.
I covered a shift at Longfield, it being my first other service, and Vicky helped to support me in managing an individual’s behaviours. I felt anxious that I wasn’t doing the right thing, and with her support, I learned a lot, and she gave me a lot of advice that helped me carry out my job much more efficiently.
I was impressed by the positivity Jarveen demonstrated on a recent visit. Her enthusiasm and positivity to the development of a central resource for all patients to use was insightful and understanding. She shared her experience clearly outlining the value of moving forward & involving patients at every stage of the process, very inspiring.
Joel recently organised a Halloween party for the residents and staff at Beacon House. Going out of his way encourage staff to get involved, join in on their day off, organised costumes for people and really promoted a positive vibe within the service making for a great day.
Emma works as a ward clerk but she knows so much about the service users that her input in MDT meetings are always on point. She also has a good relationship with carers and external professionals ensuring adequate communication. She is always willing to go beyond her job description to do things that will improve care delivery.
Linda went above and beyond in supporting myself and colleague with interviews we were conducting for another site with neither of us being based at Sherwood Lodge. Without hesitation Linda kindly volunteered her help throughout the day with the admin and overseeing the smooth running of the day which was outside of her normal day to day role.
I would like to nominate Haley as she is not only a brilliant support worker she also tries to plan fun activities for the patients on weekends, when the therapy team are not in. She has taught one patient in particular very valuable life skills that she will take with her when she moves on from Aspen clinic.
