Ummu has recently spent a whole day deep cleaning a service users bedroom to the point it looked like a whole new place. Not only on this one occasion has she shown dedication to her craft but each and every day she attends work she gives her all to benefit the service users any which way she can. I can think of no one more deserving.
A tenant had to be taken to hospital by ambulance during the day shift, and Hannah provided support by accompanying them to the hospital. She stayed with the tenant and decided to extend her shift until they were admitted. Her dedication was exceptional, as she worked a 17 1/2 hour shift to ensure the tenant was taken care of.
I haven’t known Rhiannon long, but I absolutely love this woman! Her resilience is immense, she doesn’t always have the confidence to know what she can do and what she is worth. Despite her own struggles sometimes, she pushes through every time and finds the light in the dark days.
Rhiannon believe in yourself more, you can smash anything you want.
Ninah has been incredibly supportive of patients on the White House ward. She has recently supported a patient who had to go through a difficult letter which was incredibly distressing. This was incredibly appreciated by the patient and the team.
We have challenging residents who find it difficult to go to the barbers or even willing barbers in the area. Dilly utilises his skills as a qualified barber to provide this support to those in our care. Ensuring they are well-groomed and mental well-being is maintained. He will even come in his own time to provide this support. Thank you Dilly!
Nearing the end of my pregnancy, I have had several health issues, however Amy has continued to support me both professionally and personally to ensure that I can continue within my role, adapting the service so that I can continue for as long as possible. Despite leaving soon, Amy continues to teach me new things, to ensure my learning is current.
Cate has been brilliant at supporting me throughout a recent sickness. The support I have received from her has took a great deal of stress off my shoulders while I’ve been sick and I’m so grateful. She’s kind, caring and supportive.
Nicola has been an excellent support to the service. She has a housekeeper role. Our chef is on leave this week and Nicola has stepped in to help the service by going into the kitchen and cover the meals. She made a delicious buffet for the halloween party and has been more than supportive to put in the extra hours to support the service users.
Scott is our mental health first aider at Outwood, and over the last few months has supported people through some real challenges. It’s such an important role within our services and Scott really puts the effort in to ensure people feel supported and reassured within their roles. Thanks Scott, we appreciate.
Since starting with Cygnet, Lawrence has been non-stop improving the home for the service users. Redecorating many of the bedrooms and just giving the home the general TLC which was required. He has clearly put his heart and soul into what he does. His dedication and hard work has left a genuine impact on everybody who enters Kirkside.
Daemon has been voted for star of the week this week for being amazing and a good fella, patients report he constantly makes them smile through his humour.
He has a calm, positive, empathetic approach with all service users and a very touching moment was witnessed when he ensured a patients needs were put first by holding an umbrella for them in bad weather.
