Always supportive after incidents, immediately jumps in to help others and covers them if they need to leave for a few minutes – listens to people and allows them to vent if needed. Really helps people to be able to continue on and enjoy their day even if its rough.
Jeremy is an excellent communicator within the Psychology team, the MDT and with service users. He has been able to spur engagement in service users who have previously had little engagement with psychology in the past. Jeremy is open, honest and able to adapt his style of communication to meet the needs of the service.
As a long standing member of staff at Beacon, many staff including myself look up to him as he’s so good with each and every individual. He goes above and beyond, and always leaves each individual smiling. Naveed also tries his best to help out his staff team also, lending a helping hand that encourages staff and myself to do the same as others.
Nazia always has the biggest smile on her face even if she is having a bad day herself. She is a great support to staff and residents alike and nothing is ever too much trouble. Nazia always goes above and beyond and goes that extra mile. She has a great sense of humour and always makes me smile 🙂
Dr. Nicola always goes above and beyond and works flexibly to support the support and nursing team. She has been to Asda to support staff when patients refuse to come back, she supported staff and patients when we had a significant incident on the ward – overall she really cares for all.
A massive thank you to Wasim for supporting with the recent User Acceptance Testing session of myPath Apollo at Derby.
Wasim was key to the success of our first UAT session, helping with setting up equipment and troubleshooting throughout the day. His positivity, passion, support and hard work is to be commended. Thanks for all your support Wasim!
Mary always demonstrates kindness and compassion. Recently we had a patient discharged and the patient and her parents sent Mary a lovely note highlighting how she has really contributed to the overall success and recovery of the service user – thanking her for being such a positive role model and offering such care at the hardest of times.
Lauren has recently been complimented by two service users for her support and this couldn’t be more deserved. She always goes the extra mile in supporting our learners and shows great empathy. She is always eager to grow and learn and has developed her role over the last year. She has an excellent work ethic and we are lucky to have her.

She showed exceptional care with one of our patients during her end of life care. She worked tirelessly to ensure this patient was comfortable, clean during her last days. I have never seen such devotion from a staff member and it truly was beautiful to watch. Sadly the patient has passed, but i know that she would be grateful for Fiona’s efforts.
Kennedy has demonstrated fantastic person-centred care in highly demanding situations with complex patients with ever changing needs. Recently on the ward he was able to comfort a highly distressed patient with a cognitive impairment, remaining calm and reassuring. He is able to adapt his approach and use fantastic communication.
Abraham would make an excellent Senior Support Worker one day. You can trust him to ensure that the shift runs smooth in his seniors absence, trust him to induct new starters and overall trust him to make sure that tasks are completed. Abraham is coming out of his shell, and it is clear that he is a core and well thought of member of his team.
