Ife has helped move in a new resident into Gotts Park this week, Ife has shown great leadership qualities by supporting the resident during difficult periods of anxieties and showing the team how to de-escalate him and supporting with his care plan to create a positive routine, meaning the resident has had the best start to Gotts Park, thanks Ife!
Princess has been very perceptive and pro-active in managing patient risks on the ward. She does not hesitate to help and assist in moments of patient hostility. She is also a genuine and caring person who is always interested in the well-being of her team members. She has a natural empathy and sense of compassion for staff and service users.
Her dedication to never letting things go meant that she spotted a significant safeguarding concern on one of the wards that resulted in a children’s safeguarding enquiry commencing. She is so devoted to the job and never lets a difficult scenario stop her from caring about the people we work with
Robert has been a member of beacon house for the last three years and during this time he has been a great support worker and colleague. Robert has helped many of the staff at beacon house and has made strong relationships with each service user. Robert is now transferring and we hope him all the best on his new adventure. Thank you Rob!
Kerrie has built up an extremely good rapport with a resident here at pines, the resident in question is non-verbal but due to the residents ever growing trust of Kerrie and Kerrie’s time, care and patience with them, their bond is so lovely to watch!
Bryony facilitated some great activities, including trips to the panto and Christmas illuminations, in the run up to Christmas to give our service users a great Christmas time! Everyone had a great time and it couldn’t have been done without you.
Sophie is one of the only few drivers on my team and so is often asked to drive about on lots of occasions throughout the day. Sophie takes everything in her stride and always has a happy demeanour about her. Sophie always remains calm and collected no matter what the situation but can also speak her mind when the need arises.
since starting at supported living mike has opened up to both staff and tenants, he has shown a massive willingness to learn and improve, he is gentle yet firm and has all the qualities of a great support worker. mike has become a person of reassurance for one of our tenants in particular, as he has a calm tone and the patience required for this.
Ruth demonstrates to me what it is to be a great manager, she is one of the main reasons I returned to Cygnet. Ruth is a constant source of support, she has helped me to develop my managerial skills through coaching me to find my own style. Ruth is passionate about Occupational Therapy and has built an excellent team of OTs and OTAs at Cygnet Bury!
Despite recent injury following an unfortunate escalated behaviour, Kate remains having a positive outlook and attitude towards her role, individuals she supports and also staff of who admire her attitude.
I’m nominating penny for being a good and supportive manager and going above and beyond to support me during my periods of ongoing sickness. She has been my point of call and has asked/ checked up on me regularly. I’m grateful for her care and support
Pam is someone who always brings a smile and a laugh to the work place, she can turn a slow and down day into something more upbeat and interesting for not only the tenants but the staff too. Pam is a great support worker and a hugely valued member of supported living, I feel this deserves to be recognised.
