
Ever since I joined the company 17 years ago Paul has always provided brilliant support. Most recently we urgently needed some new equipment for an important video shoot and Paul was able to source the items and have them delivered in time. The items proved to be crucial on the day and if not for Paul it would not have been the success it was.
Linda supported me this week by offering to pick up a psychological assessment from another local cygnet service so i could have access to it. Linda went out of her way to do this and offered, demonstrating her commitment to support her team members, and go above and beyond! She is an excellent team player and is always quick to help others.
Alice our service new manager has been amazing support over the last couple of months, She has found the time to rearrange the office in a sweet and suitable way. Alice has also been very supportive in the house, bringing shopping items in when they arrive, getting used to both the residents and the staff members, She does her work deligently.
I want to recognise Brenda; she arrived to us on LWS initially during a very challenging and difficult period however Brenda showed excellent resilience and continued to attend for her shift each day and presents with a huge smile on her face and always willing to complete her duties. Brenda you are a STAR and always remember this!
Sophie recently completed a 4 hour sponsored walk for Dementia UK which was successful with other staff from the service and service users. Sophie remained positive throughout and encouraged other service users to be involved.
Opeyemi has been seen to have the strength and determination to rise through tough challenges in the form of providing amazing support to a resident who had hit out during an incident.
He has remained supportive/positive and continued to provide the best care possible to de-escalate the situation with good effect.
Angela supports her team in every area of their work. She is always willing to help and even when we are short staffed sometimes, she still find times to lend her ear to your issues. She puts the service first and when the going gets tough you would always want Angela in your corner to help fight your issues with honesty and professional advice always .
Shamim recently took lead in a incident using her experience and managed the incident well. Shamim was reassuring to the service user to prevent them from becoming more anxious by having a calm approach and having good communication throughout. Shamim always remains positive which encourages staff and boosts staff morale on the team.
Anwer puts his all into everything he does at Hawkstone, his passion and enthusiasm for his work and helping the residents at Hawkstone really shines through. His resilience when encountering difficult situations is amazing as well as his flexibility around work.
Beacon House residents wanted to organise a sponsored walk in aid of Dementia UK. Isis not only supported residents to organise the event along with a bake sale and car-wash on the day; but encouraged staff to come in on their days off to participate at the event.
Lori has taken on the role of acting Manager and has taken this in her stride, Despite Lori’s busy workload she continues to be very helpful and supportive toward both staff and residents. Lori always makes time for every person in the service and takes on board what people have to say and their thoughts / ideas.
I spent a week supporting Janine with activities and I feel she did amazing with taking all the information in and putting it into practice whilst i was there, By doing this two of her residents have now started taking part in offsite activities like swimming and walking something they had not done since Pre Covid.
