Swaib was proactive when an individual was having an incident in the back of the car. Swaib managed to safe guard the other individual who was sat in front of the incident what was happening. I want to praise Swaib for his fast thinking and the safe guarding. Swaib was injured in the incident. Swaib was a star that day. Well done Swaib.
Lauren is new to her role as a cook at The Views. She has adapted to the role exceptionally well, and is committed to making fresh, healthy, home-made food for the patients and staff. She has made food from various cultures, such as Jollof Rice, and has made delicious scones on short notice for a group session in the sun! Thank you Lauren!
Courtney had only just returned from leave and managed to arrange and carry out a Euros party for the residents to enjoy the England match in the sunshine this week. Well done Courtney, the party was a great success and lots of fun for all. You worked really hard on a short timescale, thank you.
Joshua has previously needed a lot of support with the medication and the change over. This month has succeeded to complete a changeover from learning, listening and developing to ensure he knows how correctly to support the medication changeover and ensure this makes it safe for the residents.
Alex has been great support in helping me transition into the neuro-psychiatry service line from the mental health rehab. She has been extremely helpful and patient with my endless questions! Thank you for welcoming me onto the therapy team and already teaching me so much!!
Gemma at Raglan House I feel she needs to be recognised for introducing staff support which takes place 2 times a week this is to offload how they feel and also help enhance team building skills and interacting with each other; This has now been recognised within the whole company and are now looking to be facilitated for other sites.
Georgia recently came to help out at Norcott House for 2 days when we needed a team leader. She not only came to help at short notice she worked really hard on ensuring the smooth running of the day and reviewing paperwork. Taking on additional jobs to support the Norcott senior team on their return to the service. Thank you Georgia.
George shows great passion for his role at The Pines, ensuring all activities are person centred to each resident and takes time to find new and exciting activities weekly, he recently went out with a resident on an activity and although the resident doesn’t always like George it shows determination and passion for his role and residents at The Pines.
Gary is our maintenance at the manor, however there is certain times he goes above is job role to support the patients in our care. He actively offered support to a patient who struggles with personal care/maintaining his environment and gets extremely embarrassed about this. Gary supported him with this and maintained his dignity throughout.
Amy is always the first member of staff to step in and ensure everyone’s safety during violent incidents on the ward. She is extremely brave and her willingness to step in and manage very difficult situations makes everyone at the hospital feel safer. She is always there to support her team and make sure that everyone is ok.
Fatema has been a great mentor and supervisor whilst I was the OT (Occupational Therapist) at Raglan House. She has been supportive of my development and motivated me to keep going when situations have not panned out as hoped. She is an asset to Raglan House and has been the best line manager over the last 2 years!
Mohammed was driving back from a trip (Blackpool.) There were an individual in the back of the car with his support worker and another individual was sat in front of them. Mohammed had to pull the car in off the bypass because the individual in the back of the care was having an incident with his support worker. Mohammed was calm and professional.
