When I started, in January, the ward archiving was very out of date. Because Imogen hasn’t been able to work on the ward floor she has spent time getting the whole archiving room up-to-date. She has also helped me with other duties, without being asked, such as scanning and filing. This has all been so helpful whilst I have been learning my role.
Helena has worked tirelessly at work and home to create and set up monthly activities for the service users for 2024!. From an Jamaican experience to a barbie and ken BBQ. She is a superstar!
Jan supported the female resident in attending her first appointment of screening. Female resident was extremely unsettled on a journey to hospital due to her anxiety. Jan went above & beyond by remaining calm & managed the behaviour of the resident with positive support & continuous re-assurance & completed the screening with positive outcome.
Ibbs is always trying to get service users to engage in new actives and help them engage with there environments. This has recently including encouraging a service user to join in completing puzzles for over an hour when she had previously been refusing all activities beyond her tablet for over a week. The service user really enjoyed this activity.
Sarah’s organisational prowess ensures flawless operations. Her diligent work ethic and warm personality are invaluable assets. Since joining, she has streamlined clinical workflows through innovative ideas and cross-department collaboration. Sarah is a true administrative super star.
Ray recently came to us during a crisis and immediately got stuck in to planning day trips and activities to get the residents engaged . Ray was happy to support the individual in crisis instantly to relive the pressure off the rest of the staff team. Ray brings a positive and refreshing energy to the team when it was really needed .
Heather has recently had to pick up double her usual caseload, following another OT leaving. The new caseload on PICU, has required a responsive & quick turn around to assess functional need to advise the MDT on OT interventions required to support timely discharge. Heather has achieved this to a very high standard without complaint or hesitation.
Kayley is always there for peer support to myself.
we recently lost a long standing staff member and she arrived at our service to offer support and bought a lovely bunch of flowers with her.
This is something that is very strong in Kayley’s character, she is a massive source of support to myself as her peer.
During a recent H&S Leadership Tour of Outwood Katie demonstrated a positive safety intervention by addressing and coaching a contractor on the works that they were carrying out. She handled the situation calmly and with professionalism, protecting the workers from potential harm and setting a positive example to the Maintenance team on site.
Victoria has supported the South region by completing the START audit for the region and collecting the data for the national audit. This is a large piece of work completed very efficiently. She has also provided Risk Assessment training for the South, Midlands and North regions in HCR20. Thank you for your dedication and support Victoria!
Lloyd has planned an amazing trip for a service user, Lloyd and supporting staff are going to Spain for a week. He has planned express check in , and necessary seats, budgeting and finances. He has gone above and beyond to plan a trip of this magnitude and I will certainly will take my hat off to Lloyd when I next see him. Well done.
Following a challenging shift on the ward, Dr Collier went out of his way to ensure that staff were supported. He carried out 1-1 supportive session with affected staff and complete a ad-hoc reflective practice with the team.
Dr Collier is present on the ward and is always willing to answer any questions that staff or service users might have.
