
Chloe has shown some behaviour that are associated with resilience, during this time that she stood in for the manager for example doing all she can to get on with other people and also showing problem-solving approach to difficult situation.
Her resilience helped the staff to manage stressful situations and its on this note that she is nominated.
Toni always aims to do the best by the residents lifts their spirits encourages them to try new things and does so with a passion to aim a self centred approach to each service user making time to discuss things that they would enjoy and planning it with them and carrying the task out.
Mohammed is a very dedicated supportive member of staff , very helpful with new starters , helping them learn and understand the residents needs , behaviours and how to communicate , all the residents like trust and respect Mohammed , he always makes the day fun and interactive , including all residents and staff , a real pleasure to work with
Outwood residents struggle attending salons which requires them to remain seated for a long time, this can cause anxiety’s when having there hair cut, Assem has recently ensured service users have the correct equipment in order for him to shave there hair to ensure they look presentable and reduce anxiety’s for them when attending salon services.
Eve helped to arrange a pub lunch for 2 individuals that don’t usually take part in these activities. She was faced with some challenges while planning it but worked it out and even took part herself. The meal out was enjoyed by all and the individuals came back to Beckly telling everyone about it which shows unplanned activities can be successful.
Laura has spent a lot of time over the years planning and executing trips and holidays, Taking residents on holidays and day trips requires a special touch, and Laura excel’s at it with her fun-loving, empathetic, and caring nature. Her patience is truly admirable and makes a difference in the lives of those she care’s for.
Sarah picked up a shift when we were really short staffed and then supported one resident to the hospital. She was there all day and made sure the resident was as comfortable as possible. She did amazingly and we were very very grateful!
Tayo supported one resident to the hospital, she spent the day there and Tayo showed outstanding support. He even offered to get woken up in the night to pick her up in her car when he thought there was no one else.
Saiqa is always willing to support the service with her flexibility, after Norcott became overstaffed on nights Saiqa kindly moved to days and even switched teams to support the needs of the service. She regularly picks up overtime to support the service and has recently offered to support another service on nights for 3 weeks. Thank you Saiqa.
Olu is a hard working member of staff- he gives 110% into his job. He was involved in an incident recently where he had great resilience and really supported his colleagues throughout it. Olu has been a great colleague and has provided support and guidance. He has also recently passed probation and is a massive positive contribution to our service.
Due to personal circumstances, Dan found himself in a position where he running the kitchen as the only chef for a period of time. Despite only being here a couple of months, he absolutely thrived. He managed to maintain full service, all whilst keeping the kitchen and the team cool, calm and collected. He should be so proud of how he handled it!
Lisa is still pretty new to Outwood , however you would not think this, if you saw her. Lisa is consistent always smiling and more than happy to help where needed , Lisa is very resilient and positive and adapts well to any situation put ahead of Her .
