Joseph has a keen interest in music and plays a multitude of instruments. Joseph began completing music therapy sessions with one individual at Norcott Lodge, sparking interests in their own musical hobbies. This has had a life changing impact on the individuals mental health and well-being and I wanted to credit Joseph for his efforts.
Melissa has recently communicated excellent clinical standards in patient records setting the bar for achieving clinical excellence in this area. Working at times as the sole nurse on the ward, Melissa has not let this prevent upholding high standards of clinical record keeping and is setting a wonderful example to colleagues.
Bethan has increased greatly in confidence since joining Dene Brook, establishing strong relationships with multiple residents and handling challenging incidents incredibly well, never allowing it to affect her confidence and always jumping in to help where she can. The change in her is obvious and fantastic, she is a valued colleague.
Ciara showed a positive attitude and was fun at Thornfield Holi party we where celebrating getting good in are QAM audit and Ciara took part in the Holi party ,encouraging residents and staff to take part ,the residents loved it throwing holi powder at staff and each other there was alot of laughter and smiles, we love having her support.
Due to a resident being in crisis we have had to increase our staffing numbers to ensure the safety of everyone. Alexander has supported us through this tough period by sending us staff where ever possible and calling us to offer staff when they know that they have people to spare. This has helped greatly and made sure that Outwood runs safely.
Bradley supported the service users at Thornfield House on a day trip out to flamingo land to celebrate one of the residents birthdays. The service user enjoyed having his house mates with him and staff celebrating his birthday. he also stayed be hide to help the team leader with tasks and support the residents to complete there night routine.
Over the last few months our service has had to increase its staffing levels due to a resident being in crisis. Angela has been so supportive and helping us by sending us as many staff as she is able to as often as she can. Angela regularly checks in with us at Outwood so she can pre book her staff in with us to ensure we can run Outwood safely.
Over the last few weeks or registered manager has been in the process of moving to a new service and Jade has put lots of hard work into keeping Outwood running smoothly, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and that the teams feel supported and that they still have a familiar face to lead them should they need anything at all.
Shelagh accompanied one of our service user to get the train for the first time to travel through to Edinburgh to meet up with her family, which is something incredibly important to them. Shelagh was helpful, encouraging and incredibly supportive to make sure the trip went to plan and that everyone had a good time.
it was nice to see Omolara take the lead in a incident and using her knowledge that she has gained while been at Thornfield house. She was re-insuring the resident in a incident. To prevent them from becoming more anxious, by having a calm approach and positive attitude. thank you for your support at the end of the shift.
Keerthana is a happy and positive member of the team. Since joining Cygnet at the end of November Keerthana has be a welcome face on reception. Helping staff, family members and service users. Keerthana is always so happy to help in a number of areas with a positive approach. Keerthana looks on the bright side if things and that shines through.
Adam has recently been a number of challenging incidents with an individual going through a really tough time, he has remained empathetic, supportive and integral when talking to new staff members, professionals and parents in getting the person the support they need, despite challenges.
