Whilst out in the community supporting a resident on 04/03/2023, Jean witnessed a road traffic accident – dealing with both the emergency and whilst continuing to support the resident in her care. As a team we want to recognize Jean for her amazing response and resilience in dealing with this and for utilising skills learned and BLS training.
I would like to nominate George for the positive approach he has towards pines and the service users we support. we have had really good feedback from other professional that has recognised this, George should be proud of himself for the hard work he puts into his role at pines and continue the good work as it has a positive impact on others.

Dianne went out of her way to clear the car park of snow to make sure all residents could get out in case of a fire evacuation. This also allowed a family member to collect one of our service users for home leave. This is not part of Dianne’s regular job role and she did this without been asked. Thank you Dianne for your ongoing hard work!
Farhan has only been at Hawkstone for a few months and went to help out at another home for the first time. Farhan was very worried about going initially but did a great job once there. thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and helping out!
Lee arrived early at Beckly this morning as he was on a team leading shift. The maintenance man was not on site and he helped to clear the car park and pavements of snow and spread grit on the ground. This kept the paths clear of snow and enabled staff to drive into car park.
Going to buy clothes for our new admission on Saunders who came in with literally NO clothes. Nigel went at short notice to make sure he had bits to last him the weekend.
Lucy has done incredibly well throughout her preceptorship, despite lots of challenges that she has faced. Lucy has continued to have a positive attitude, which radiates throughout the team on the ward. We all wanted to make sure she knows how much she is valued as an amazing nurse!
Rebecca is always available at any time to offer a friendly ear , she offers impartial advice and will support and direct with any work related issues. Rebecca also runs crash bag training each week making sure that all staff are up to date with training and have good knowledge of the contents of the bag, this has been invaluable life saving advice.
Whilst out with a resident, Noble was incredibly supportive and showed great communication and empathy skills when it came to supporting the individual when they were showing signs of distress. Noble handled the situation very well, and has built a good knowledge and relationship with this resident, which shows in all of their interactions.
