Lee arrived early at Beckly this morning as he was on a team leading shift. The maintenance man was not on site and he helped to clear the car park and pavements of snow and spread grit on the ground. This kept the paths clear of snow and enabled staff to drive into car park.
Going to buy clothes for our new admission on Saunders who came in with literally NO clothes. Nigel went at short notice to make sure he had bits to last him the weekend.
Lucy has done incredibly well throughout her preceptorship, despite lots of challenges that she has faced. Lucy has continued to have a positive attitude, which radiates throughout the team on the ward. We all wanted to make sure she knows how much she is valued as an amazing nurse!
Rebecca is always available at any time to offer a friendly ear , she offers impartial advice and will support and direct with any work related issues. Whilst out with a resident, Noble was incredibly supportive and showed great communication and empathy skills when it came to supporting the individual when they were showing signs of distress. Noble handled the situation very well, and has built a good knowledge and relationship with this resident, which shows in all of their interactions.
Jade is an absolute legend! She really does know her team well and supports us all every step of the way on our journey. She’s funny, likes to have a giggle, excellent with the residents and bloomin hard working, she don’t stop! She’s a diamond! #weappreciateyou !
Linda always works very hard, going above and beyond her role and covering other administrative gaps. She is professional, reliable and always willing to work beyond her hours to get the job done. She has received praise from external commissioners for her communication and liaison, acting as a positive face for Alders to others.
Dan works across two sites to maintain the up keep. Dan will often show flexibility at last minute challenges across both sites and often stay over his working hours to ensure the services are safe from damages. Well Done Dan 🙂
Stephen has recently supported a service user on holiday with 2 other staff members. With the service user being on holiday this allowed for his flat to be decorated. This has been the longest holiday for the service user. Thank you Stephen.
Throughout last week we had some very bad snow which resulted in cancellation of public transport and roads too dangerous to drive on. Catherine walked over three hours to Longfield to ensure our residents received the care they require. Thank you and well Done 🙂
Laura is a recruiter for our service. Laura always explains our service to them before they come for an interview.
Laura is supportive to us at Longfield and will offer to sit in interviews with us if we are unable to complete these.
Laura contacts us throughout the week to find out if there is anything we need for support. Thank you Laura 🙂
Karen is a wonderful team leader and a valued member of the Gledholt staff team. Karen has overcome many challenges lately and has encountered multiple grievances in her personal life but she has not let this stop her and has continued to provide great support to resident’s, her fellow colleagues and everyone else in the service.
