Chris kindly supported our team at Outwood with some resilience workshops, bespoke to the service and the current needs of the team. The team have had positive feedback following these, and we can see that the team feel more positive in their roles!
Milly recently joined Gables in 2019. Every Year one resident has refused his annual flu jab. Milly has been building an excellent rapport with that resident. Our resident felt so supported that he was able to receive his first flu jab in 19 years.
Jamina went above and beyond to ensure a non-verbal service user celebrated her birthday, and had a truly magical day. She organised all the present, a day trip, cake and decorations for the SU along with another staff member.

Janice is always making both staff and service users laugh with her quick wit and fun attitude. She brightens everyone’s days and can get people smiling on some of their worse days. She brings great vibes to every shift she works.
Dr Henk has only been with us a short amount of time but has made a massive impact already. He is always willing to pitch in and support the team in anyway needed, from making mocktails at a party to leading a management plan for a complex patient.
Rob visited Hollyhurst for the first time, and after hearing about the tough time the team has had recently and brought the staff a couple of boxes of chocolates. It was a small token but it really was appreciated and lifted the spirits of the team!
Raksha is an admin at Willow House, Raksha recognised the difficultly we were having arranging chef cover and offered to work in the kitchen, cooking delicious food, adapting to the different requirements. Raksha is always willing to help.
Since my starting at Brunel Annie has been so supportive. Annie takes the time to explain things in-depth, always listens and offers advice and encouragement. I feel I have already grown so much in this role and much of that is due to her guidance.
Ayodeji Aka Martins has helped out other homes when needed even through been in the company a short time.
Martins will also come into work early at short notice for his shift and is always positive and happy to help where is needed.
Tula has been a key part of new starters inductions recently and supporting students. Tula has only been qualified a year herself however has gotten positive feedback from everyone she has supported for being dedicated to teaching and supporting them.
Came to work on her day off to take a SU to the race for life which she ran herself too. She did this unpaid. She was a delight to be with and made me feel very valued. She also did 2 long drives the day before and after too! – Nominated by a SU.
