
She was a student and after her placement she was offered a permanent role. She shows passion and enthusiasm for her job and for the service users and their families. It is infectious and amazing to see how much she loves her job, and helping others.
A new resident moved into service, when he declined support from other staff, Sara persisted and built on their relationship to encourage him to have his personal care completed
Jo has worked hard to build the social work team. Jo supports us with work life and personal problems. She is someone you can trust and help you. She has started staff well-being days at work for all staff as a safe space and encourage self-care.
Ilonka consistently supports services through crisis and I would like to recognise this. Recently we had a quality inspection that resulted in a large number of actions and Ilonka has been a massive support in completing these actions. Thank you!
Although I could select a number of these, I ultimately chose trust because I trust the advice she gives me. I trust she is there when I need to talk and I trust she will do her best to action things that are of concern to me.
Nicola has inducted a number of new administrators and covered other services in the absence of an administrator. We would like to acknowledge the additional workload this is and we appreciate everything she does!
Paula is always going out of her way to help others. Paula is dedicated beyond belief to making sure Oaklands is always running smoothly including working nights as the nurse or more recently working from her hospital bed!
I have a tricky home life and Kelly has picked me up when I’ve been down and understood when I cant get anything out only tears. Kelly has empathised and brought me back out of myself on more than one occasion with honesty and humour. She’s a star.
Calum is an excellent communicator. He is a key worker for a resident that on occasion’s displays high risk behaviour. Calum’s communication skills has helped with bringing the resident’s anxieties down by explaining his PBS to others.
Emma has worked really hard to fill both Dove Valley & Dene Brook vacancies, my 2 highest vacancy sites. At one point Emma had 57 candidates in the pipeline and has managed to provide start dates to all within a reasonable timeframe.
Kurt was involved in a significant incident therefore had to have time off work. He has successfully made a full return to work with the support offered from colleagues at work.
Ryan has single-handedly arranged a number of events such as parties for the Jubilee and Pride Month. He also has a Summer Party and a National Friendship Day Party coming up. We all appreciate what you’re doing for everyone at Longfield House!
