Paula is always going out of her way to help others. Paula is dedicated beyond belief to making sure Oaklands is always running smoothly including working nights as the nurse or more recently working from her hospital bed!
I have a tricky home life and Kelly has picked me up when I’ve been down and understood when I cant get anything out only tears. Kelly has empathised and brought me back out of myself on more than one occasion with honesty and humour. She’s a star.
Calum is an excellent communicator. He is a key worker for a resident that on occasion’s displays high risk behaviour. Calum’s communication skills has helped with bringing the resident’s anxieties down by explaining his PBS to others.
Emma has worked really hard to fill both Dove Valley & Dene Brook vacancies, my 2 highest vacancy sites. At one point Emma had 57 candidates in the pipeline and has managed to provide start dates to all within a reasonable timeframe.
Kurt was involved in a significant incident therefore had to have time off work. He has successfully made a full return to work with the support offered from colleagues at work.
Ryan has single-handedly arranged a number of events such as parties for the Jubilee and Pride Month. He also has a Summer Party and a National Friendship Day Party coming up. We all appreciate what you’re doing for everyone at Longfield House!
David straight away without hesitation helped a service user with dysphagia that was choking on their food and unable to cough and clear their airway. David even continued their support after to make sure the service user ok and felt safe and settled.
Sharon works as a receptionist, who had to step up as a hospital administrator role while still working on reception! Despite she hasn’t received appropriate training, she managed to get all jobs done. We see how much it cost you; Well done you!
Mohammed was the driver to a trip to Blackpool. He was a really good driver, he was calm and professional. Incident occurred on the way back home. Mohammed had to stop the van quickly so we had to stop which he safely did. So proud to work with Mo.
Hayley has stepped up into a new role covering maternity leave for our Admin Manager. She has been so flexible and has basically been working two jobs whilst vacancies were unfilled. She has trained new admin staff up ready for her own maternity leave.
Gardening is not usually a passion for Zoe, but since helping our patients to renovate their garden areas she has gone above and beyond, by making raised flower beds at home and bringing them in for the patients to decorate and plant.
Vicky showed amazing resilience to complete the Emergency First Aid at Work course (with a very high score!) despite some of the content of the course causing her upset. She resiliently continued and absolutely smashed the course!
