Penny recently got promoted to Deputy Manager, very quickly after, I (service manager) went on annual leave, leaving her to manage the unit. Penny settled in to her role extremely quickly, getting to know all care plans, service users and the staff team. She dealt with some complex incidents, and took her new role in her stride.

He is always thinking of ways in which to improve the lives of the service users or the running of the unit. He is a model support worker, and extremely valued.

I often feel like I’m harassing Jason with my cost center queries, but no question is too much trouble for him to answer. He has been very supportive in helping me understand how they are set up and this has helped me a great deal in my role when setting up new services in myHub. Thank you Jason for being so helpful!
Kerry is the HR Business Partner for the Yorkshire Region, when asked to support Cygnet Bierley through their recent challenging 6 months, without hesitation based herself there 4 days per week and spent time away from her family overnight and long days to support the site. Kerry did this with a passion to support the staff and patients. Well done
During the July heatwave, DH arranged for staff to purchase a paddling pool for the residents. However, the pump did not have the right attachment to blow the pool up. DH and his colleague manually blew up the paddling pool with their mouths to enable the residents to use it and the residents had a great time.
AH was working with his colleague during the heatwave and arranged for a paddling pool for the residents. However the attachment for the pump was not suitable and so AH and his colleague blew up the paddling pool with their mouth while following IPC procedures. It took about 2 hours to blow up but the residents did enjoy using the pool.

Ant was an agency member of staff on his first day ever in care . He was so nervous he was visibly shaking every time anyone spoke to him. Ant proved himself to be like a sponge from the moment he started and his willingness to work and understanding for non verbal and is now one of the strongest team members we have and rely on .
We have a service user that expressed that they like to do DIY and gardening and requested that they help out with maintenance. Nigel has welcomed the opportunity to include the service user with some maintenance work and supports him in managing the gardens. Nigel has been a great mentor to the service user.
