We are seeking an experienced and progressive Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You will be expected to work 38.5 hours a week, working days and night shifts. The working pattern is 07.30hrs to 20.00hrs for day shift and 19.30hrs to 08.00hrs for a night shift.
Cygnet Lodge Kenton, in North-West London, is a female high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service that provides a care pathway for service users who are preparing to step down and help bridge the gap between hospital stays and community living. Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model.
Cygnet Lodge Kenton provides treatment for up to 15 women experiencing complex mental illness. The service helps them to re-establish and develop the skills they need to progress over a period of 12-18 months. We accept referrals from low secure services, acute wards, PICU and other mental health rehabilitation services.

Your day-to-day…

Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations

Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality
-
Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
-
Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals

Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines
You….
An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you'll have
Essential:

A good understanding of the latest nursing practices

A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk

Compassion, resilience, with a dedication to empower and support service user independence
-
The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role
Desirable:

The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
-
An interest in leadership, research & assessment
-
Experience of working with Personality Disorder patients in a PD service.

A minimum of one years experience in a Mental Health setting
