Registered Mental Health (RMN) / Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)

About the role

Overview

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health (RMN) / Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a passion for delivering the best quality of care.

You will be expected to work 38.5 per week, working days and nights shifts on a rota basis. (shift times – 8:00am to 8:15pm; 8:00pm to 8:15am) at Cygnet Hospital Woking.

Acorn Ward, our 10 bed female PICU, accepts emergency and crisis admissions. Referrals can come to us from all areas, including acute and prison services.

Kahlo Ward at Cygnet Hospital Woking is an 11 bed female mental health acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Picasso Ward at Cygnet Hospital Woking is a 12 bed female mental health acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of secure mental health services for men and women and an Acute service. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, offers a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service and an Acute service for men and extends our care pathway. https://www.cygnetgroup.com/locations/cygnet-hospital-woking/

Your day-to-day…

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals
• Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines

An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you’ll have…

Essential:

• The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
• A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
• A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence

Desirable:

• The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
• An interest in leadership, research & assessment
