We are looking for confident Care & Support Workers with the passion to both deliver outstanding care, alongside play a role in empowering d/Deaf or hearing impaired service users to access the same recovery opportunities as their hearing peers.
You will be working Full time (37.5 hours per week) across a mixed shift pattern of 3 to 4 12 hour shifts per week with a focus on supporting our d/Deaf or hearing impaired (profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) service users with difficult mental health needs.
Cygnet Hospital Bury offers service users personalised assessment, care and treatment for mental health disorders.
Service users may have communication needs alongside a mental illness, autism, learning disability or personality disorder & are supported by a highly specialised multi-disciplinary team that includes both Deaf and hearing professionals who provide expertise and resources to support the individuals in our care.

About you:
You may be d/Deaf yourself.
Have experience working or living with Deaf people before.
You can sign in BSL/Have an interest in learning BSL.
Ideally trained in Signature BSL to a minimum of Level 2.
As a person you are a strong worker and team player.
Are looking to help support d/Deaf people.
Have an interest in helping d/Deaf people with mental health problems.
