We need a Assistant PBS Practitioner who’s passionate about helping people with a range of complex needs.
This is an exciting new opportunity to really make a difference to the lives of the people we support whilst working within the beautiful locations of the West Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will be working across services supporting adults with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism, so experience working within similar environments / homes as well as experience with Positive Behaviour Support and/or experience of leading on strategies to support complex behaviours is essential for this role.
As part of this role you will be supported by a PBS Lead to deliver the highest quality and standards of Positive Behaviour Support and work closely with the service and regional managers.

The Role:
To provide Positive Behaviour Support advice, guidance and consultation to families, support staff and other professionals contributing directly to peoples’ assessment, analysis and intervention plans within a PBS Framework.
Your Day-to-Day…
- To promote and maintain the positive well-being of the people who live in services provided by Cygnet Social Care by assisting in the provision of Positive Behaviour Support for individuals supported by the organisation.
- To uphold high standards of Positive Behaviour Support in line with policy and practice.
- As guided by the Senior Practitioner to undertake assessment, formulation work alongside individuals in the context of their history and relationship
We are looking for someone who is…
- Recognised qualification in PBS or Behavioural Analysis
- Practical experience of working with adults with Learning disabilities in a range of settings
- A minimum of three years’ experience of working with young people and adults with learning disabilities
- Practical experience of working in conjunction with other stakeholders within an MDT framework
- Experience of functional analysis and support plan implementation would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to travel independently across the region
