As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll help provide a safe & healthy environment for our patients & service users.

You’ll be working Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week) alongside being part of an on-call rota. Working within Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson.

Cygnet Bury Hudson provides a wide range of secure mental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Provide regular updates and plan meetings with the Regional Facilities manager.

  • Attend Daily team meetings with Operational site staff to plan & prioritise works for that day & be made aware of any issues, repairs or status of site which might affect any organised works.

  • Manage repair and installation work completed onsite, ensuring that it is carried out efficiently, within budget and supervise the Maintenance Operatives.

  • Identify any works that cannot be completed in house safely, engage with relevant contractors to quote for the appropriate works; effectively manage the performance of the external contractors providing hard and soft facilities management services, ensure relevant RAMS are in place and being adhered to and site induction has been completed in guidance with Cygnet policy.

  • Complete internal site audits as per policy and procedures. Identifying actions and raise any concerns timely manner, and where required attend all relevant H&S, environmental assessments/audits and inspections, complete any actions in the time given.

  • Manage Facilities Management portals ensuring all planned and reactive jobs are updated with the relevant information and once completed are closed off the system in a timely manner.

You are:

    • Experienced in the management of Facilities and services
    • Hold a full valid UK driving licence
    • Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information 
    • Experienced in the management of teams.
